Hard to assign a sound rating here - most of the tracks sound as though they were recorded with a microphone in the studio, or perhaps in the playback booth, so while not truly a soundboard, they are better than an "audience" rating would indicate, with just a touch of room echo. Of interest here are the different released versions of "Layla", it's quite interesting to compare them. Another excellent Mid Valley release.

I'd like to question that too: on what commercial release(s) were those (*) done? Certainly not the instrumental versions of "Nobody Knows You..." or "Bell Bottom Blues."
Otherwise, dearly love getting these gems! Thanks: the boots here are fantastic.
Okay: Jam 2 is really Jam V from the 20th anniversary issue;
"Tell the Truth" (backing track jam) is also from the 20th; the "Tell the Truth" (alternate take) is also from the original, but doesn't open up the soundboard mix as much--there's a bit more of Duane, I believe, on slide, than Eric; "Jam" (untitled) is ALSO from the 20th; overall, I'd call these outtakes.
i am always at the mercy of what i receive and the info provided. this is another "you get what you get."
i hope that it more thrills than disappoints.

I downloaded all the Megaupload files and several tracks are missing from the rar files. I only have 8 from disc one and 3 from disc two.

dont download this some idiot chopped it up thats why you are not getting all the tracks do a search for derek and the dominos substance vol 1 you get all the tracks and all the jams nothing missing vol 2 is the lost sessions .at least someone has balls enough to release all the material instead of taking stuff out that is so lame probably dimedozen that site is known for these tatics
