The album presented here is a live recording from the 1975 first tour by the new line-up, and is the source for the 1990's CD distributed by King Biscuit Flower Hour for broadcast by radio stations in the US. As they had not yet established themselves let alone reached the mega-stardom that came with their next album 'Rumours', the band plays a mixture of songs from the current album, which was also entitled 'Fleetwood Mac', and from earlier line-ups, as well as one from the 'Buckingham Nicks' album. There is no adverts and announcer breaks that were built in to the KBFH CD so this version plays as an uninterrupted live album.

OU: I watched plenty of hockey games from the 400 level - the blue seats - at Madison Square Garden, but this was only the second time I sat there for a concert. The stage was quite distant –any further away and I would have been in the Statler Hilton across the street. The last time I had seen Fleetwood Mac was from the seventh row at the Beacon Theater in 1975. This was an entirely different experience.
Rumours had exploded on the charts in February, and now the screams of the teenage girls were exploding around my head and echoing off the ceiling. Early in the show, I traded seats with someone in the front row of the section and was able to keep the recorder on a ledge overhanging the lower levels. That helped the tape quite a bit, and combined with a little CQ magic, this tape is much more listenable than you
might expect.

It's a really fine SQ complete show marred only by a woobitch/cow/pig hereafter referred to as WBCP. This asshole sadly is present for the entire show; the taper must not have been able to get away from her which makes sense, as the Civic Arena has only assigned seats so once you're there, you're trapped. It really is a great show though, so I think that you'll be much better off if you're a FM fan and you grab this. The WBCP was very prolific and seemed to me to be screaming just to hear herself scream; a real a--hole Pixburg yinzer...you're probably ~ 40 years old now so if you happen to be reading this, screw you!!! Thanks for marring a great recording, scumbag. A brief description of the concert now...
The band put on a great show, promoting the Behind The Mask album. Stevie Nicks sounded pretty coked-up and I've always thought that she sounded like a sheep when she sang. There's a lot of space-rock in this concert during the extended solos and during the drum solo somebody (Mick or the African guest drummer) is shouting and screaming in an indecipherable language. You gotta be there to believe it. And you will be if you grab this one. I could continue but I think I'll let the music do the talking. That's all that I have so let's get this show on the road...
Finally, no buy, no sell, no mp3. If you're a FM fan, you NEED this tape. A very high-energy show in which everybody shines, especially Rick, the lead guitarist.

Fleetwood Mac: Los Angeles 1974 (VG- Aud) FLAC

Fleetwood Mac Live at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, California 1974-11-30 Complete "Heros Are Hard To Find" Show from master reel to reel AUD tapd - Rare setlist, and one of Bob Welch's last shows!
This reel had become seperated from its broken tape box some time back, and had become misplaced and forgotten. The box had become damaged sometime prior to my possession in the early 1990's, and the tape had apparently been improperly stored as a result.
If you collect music the way I do, organization is a real problem. Wait, let's talk about that for a minute: most people who DO collect music the way I do generally have a spouse or family member, who either doesn't understand and says something to you about it, or... who sometimes takes matters into their own hands and rearranges all of your carefully arranged "sh!t piles" into a clean, tidy, out of the way place... where you can't find anything anymore.
Does this sound familiar?
Mrs. Doinker is NOT like that, she's a very understanding woman. She's even asked to be quoted here: "Once in a while I get tired of being alone. Sometimes I come come and the first thing you do is go up on that dammed computer. Then, when you finally come to bed, you expect me to be bright and cheerful. But, I'm not. I'm smarter than you".
Great... just great... LOLOL!!!
But hey, anyway, as I was saying, organizing stuff is a bit of a problem around here. So, the box destoyed itself, and the reel disappeared for over two years.
The reel was located open on a shelf while trying to reorganize CDr's. A faulty transfer had been made when the tapes were first received, and I found that. From there a search went on for the reel.
No amount of tape baking will work on this tape. It's mechanically damaged and the oxide is no longer there for parts of it. What you will hear is a reconstruction that took many hours to do. Recording levels were altered many times, and one portion was reconstructed from scratch with overlays from other material within the concert due to unrecoverable damage. It still isn't perfect, but it is listenable to.
Identifying the show was another matter. The tape only says "Shrine" on it, and there was nothing else to go by. Through the kind courtesy of FMLegacy.com, the date of 1974-11-30 was given as a possibility. On this date, Fleetwood Mac opened for the Jefferson Starship. A quick search turned up the Starship reel, and the dates matched.

Bobby Hunt's tenure with the band was extremely short-lived. It is sure that he only played with the band from September through December, and that he was the second, and final keyboardist before Welch's departure. This show was recorded during a very turbulent time in the band's history, right at the end of the band's second era.
With the acquisition of Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks toward the end of the following year, greater treasures lay ahead. But at the time of this recording, Danny Kirwan and Jeremy Spencer's weird departures had dug such a black hole, that it threatened to put the group out of business forever.

Ok guys, here are the differences between this version and all the previous ones in circulation :
1. this tape has around 7 minutes more compare to all the others tapes in circulation.
2. the fades in at the beginning of some songs are the same of all the previous ones in circulation, i did not specified track by track in the text file, you'll just hear it.
3. the sound is better compare to all the previous ones in circulation, much brighter.
4. i guess this is an FM Broadcast, on my reel box i've FM Soundboard, so i just reported that.

First generation reel to reel (revox) > behringer ultra curve pro deq 2496 audio equalizer > amplifiers > tascam audio cdrw750 > cd > computer > plex tool professional XL > wav > flac.
