Original notes: It was inevitable that this full dress rehearsal would appear in one way or another. The full and uncut dress rehearsal held at Shepperton Studios on 5th December 2007, just five days before the concert has been hoarded for quite a long time.
An edited version, with No Quarter and Misty Mountain Hop both butchered has been in the hands of a few "chosen ones" since the end of 2010. And four songs in lossy MP3 were leaked all over the Internet some months ago. This edited version was subsequently leaked out in the Summer of 2011, and Tarantura released this version (NOT sourced from the download), in a 2 CD package called "The Triumph Rehearsals". The total running time for this title is 100 minutes and 10 seconds.
The Empress Valley version is 108 minutes and 44 seconds. So about 8 minutes was butchered out of the "leaked" release.
Empress Valley put out the full unedited version. the hoarder who had been sitting on this for ages sold the complete version to Empress Valley. For a very tidy sum no doubt.
This release comes in a 4 way jewel case, inside a card slipcase. The 2 CDs of the rehearsals are excellent stereo soundboard.
On the night some songs came out a bit differently to the rehearsals, and there are a few mistakes, but all in all an excellent prelude to the concert itself. As a bonus, EV has added a complete audience recording from the O2 arena.
The sound is reasonable, but unfortunately the taper was surrounded by whoopers, talkers and various other imbeciles, so that is a disappointment. There are a number of excellent recordings that they should have chosen from. This is of course an extremely expensive title. The cost of the rehearsal recording must have been considerable, and the label has to recoup that outlay. That said, it is a very nice thing to have. (Jules McTrainspotter Sept 2011)

Comments by Boguspomp: Another really fine recording, this time of the sexy and talented Joss Stone. DGB did a wonderful job.
The sound is all in all excellent, but once in a while someone in front of DGB must jump around a lot, because the right channel has some sound changes for short periods of time.
Not distracting and if you turn up this recording, you have to dance and won't notice anyways. Too bad this show is so short. I could listen to this for hours.

OU: I'd like to start off the notes for this project with notes I recieved from my mate Jules Mc Trainspotter about his concert experience and the history of this recording:
I received a ticket for the Led Zeppelin reunion concert at the O2 Arena through the courtesy of my friend John, who had flown down from Glasgow that morning. I met up with him at Piccadilly Circus in the West End of London the afternoon of the concert.
He did a deal and got the ticket for me, and paid £400 (about $700). The ticket was a wristband and so we went downstairs into the Underground station and a nice shoe repair man got it onto my wrist.
When we were waiting to get into the Arena (standing downstairs) there was only a cursory look at the wristband, and a very halfhearted security check of bags.
The allocation of tickets was a farce, as every fan in the World knows.
When Harvey Goldsmith came on stage, my friend, in his best Glaswegian accent shouted "f*!k off ye bastard!" which I think summed things up rather well!
Having never been to the O2 Arena I had no idea about where to be, so it was more luck than good planning that we were standing dead centre, in front of the mixing desk and about 30 yards or so from the stage.
As the start of the concert drew closer, I started to get more nervous, hoping that my DAT recorder would fire up, and the tape would run OK.
Now I know why everyone uses hard drive recorders today, but I am old fashioned! As it happened, I was and still am extremely pleased with how it turned out. At the end of the concert I tried to get out as quickly as I could, to get the Underground to Waterloo mainline station, as I had left my car at a different railway line station, as my line stops running before Midnight.
I had to wait until I got home from work the next day to transfer the DAT master onto CDRs.
It was of course a magical and extremely special night, and extremely unlikely to be repeated. There were problems with the sound, and a number of feedback problems, I have seen better sound crews at my local pub on a live band night. And of course, as any taper will tell you, it is difficult to really concentrate and enjoy the concert, as one is constantly fretting over your recording, and the people around you, hoping to avoid the talkers, whistlers, clappers and whoopers. But having said that, all I can say is: "thank you John for buying me a ticket and getting me into this wonderful concert!".

This show is hot! Simply the best of all four documented reunion concerts they played! From the opening bars of Good Times Bad Times it's obvious the band rehearsed so long that caused of a near perfect playing through the whole show.
Jason sounds really fantastic and his playing is very similar to his great late dad, John. Jimmy is in a peak form - his solos are tight, full of energy and he didn't miss anything tonight! Just listen to In My Time Of Dying - a pure genius.
For Your Life is played live before large audience for the first time in its entirety here as well as Ramble On.
Dazed And Confused and No Quarter are playing in a more compact, shortened versions but it doesn't means lack of magic.
Kashmir is bombastic and two heavy encores closing this spiritual event.

What we've done to make this project:
- We've reduced some of the "hotness" in the recording, bringing the volume to a more reasonable level.
- We've tried to balance the instruments as best we could.
- We've tried to bring out things that we're buried in the raw recording (cheers, comments, clapping, etc)
- We've tried to recreate a better sense of ambience and a feel of the acoustics of the venue as best we can, especially for a venue as large as the O2.

In regards to the title:
The title is a play on the classic "For Badgeholders Only" bootleg, and is an homage to the taper Jules Mc Trainspotter.

OU: This is the second Garth show of the 9 that I have taped and uploaded and I think everyone will love this one. Lots of really cool covers in here. I have 2 more shows I taped form the series but those didn't come out so well so they are staying locked up.
This is all stealth, sounds Really good in my opinion, This was the show that was simulcast in all of the theaters around the world and rebroadcast on GAC a few times. BUT.....The theaters and GAC didn't show the entire encore, there are like 9 or 10 more songs after they cut the live feed.
You get to hear all the gac promo stuff and us doing the commercials for GAC, pretty cool in my opinion.
I was directly under the stacks and 3 feet from the stage right monitor.
This is much much better than my other show and I'm damn proud I got this pull. I almost got arrested on this one friends so enjoy it. They were taking people off to the side just for recording with cell phones, and I came real close to getting pinched on this one.
In between breaks when they were going from the live broadcast to the regular show security came up to me and asked what the wires hanging out of my back were. I had no idead they fell down so I calmly explained that I had a heart problem and the were hooked up to my heart monitor.
He seemed suspicious but in Missouri they can't ask about any debilitations or inquire as to the nature of any handicaps, it's just illegal here.
Check it out, I doubt anyone else taped any of the shows, I hope someone did, but i'm not holding my breath, and from what he says this is it for another 10 years.
