First of all i love the sound quality, song versions & hall sound of this mono audience recording--but this was taped with severely dying batteries, so by the middle of this tape there are major, major speed issues. (a few years back i made my own speed corrected version of this one by adjusting the pitch on my minidisc deck--by the time Black Napkins was done i had to lower the pitch to -12.00% which is the lowest you could do it on the MD deck(!) and it still sounded too fast!) oh well, i still play it since i love the playing and Zappa's solos at this show! (p.s. Zappateers did their own speed-corrected version of this show, but i still think that version runs a little fast in the second part of the tape. Bozzio's drums & cymbals sound too thin, for instance in their version.) Sorry for the long "editorial" it's a cool show if you can do speed correction or don't mind the major pitch problems!
