I'm pretty sure Dave knows that. I didn't see anywhere where he said the concert was filmed at any other time. The (April 2011) refers to when this was released, not when the concert was recorded.
I come to this site in large part due to your headline "No Commercially Released Material. Period."
I feel safer here than at many other sites that seem to try to sneak in well known official albums among the boots. Don't want any part of that.
This seems Way to close to an official release; "additional reverb and effects" do not change the fact that this is "original audio from the film"
Drawing the line a bit close here?
Or maybe the motto should be changed to "No Commercially Released Material. More Or Less"

What's the difference between this Pompeii and the previous Harvested edition(s)? Anyone?
The original soundtrack can be found on the official release if you look in Features, so does that make this a little more of a grey area item??
Wow! I just got done listening to this. Better than in the movie to say the least!
I wanted to tell you... This is like the only place that I can come to every day where everything is "just as advertised". And that means as close to perfect as you can get. Since I've been coming here my understanding for things like format and hi-fidelity has really increased. No more lossy crap for me. I mean, why would you want to hear it any other way than the way that it was recorded? I'm just a listen-at-home guy, I guess. Headphones, please..
Thanks again for what you everything that you do. You really do have something here that you can be proud of. Nobody else’s got it. Not on a consistent basis like this, at least.

On another blog, there is a speed-corrected copy of the official DVD that has been married to MOB's film soundtrack (I think the same as posted here). In theory, that makes the best cinematic version available since the original movie was out.
I did megaupload1-4 but only got songs 4-8. What did I miss?
This is a great version, I recorded myself from the DVD onto a CDR using a Harmon Carden burner and this sounds much better. I couldn't help but putting Echoes 1 and 2 together as the last track- I did this on the other one I made. True Floyd fans- do you think this is ok? Just wandering. Thanks again Dave and keep up the good work, it is much appreciated!!

Hey Barry - that always bugged me about the movie in the same way that other "in concert" movies (such as "The Grateful Dead Movie") interrupts the flow of the movies to tuck in interviews with fans, roadies, critics, etc. One or the other but not both at the same time you know. When I alter any music from another source, for any reason, I always note that in trades or as I pass it on with the caveat that my friends do the same in the lineage. If that is not possible then I just send the original files instead.
Also, at present, I do not have the ability to burn from dvds. I always want the best available source so when I see Pompeii in the store I'll buy it. Until then, it's up to Floyd, Zeppelin, and any other bands to open up their vaults like the Grateful Dead, Phish, and Widespread Panic.
