Ah YES! I really liked the album they were promoting at the time... saw them on this tour. Thanks Dave!!

Thank you very much. This has the exact same set as their show at Tipitina's in New Orleans 04/06/95 which was also opened by The Ass Ponys. A recording exists [see below].
Another great trio was Scrawl from Columbus, OH. This all female [later they switched to a male drummer] trio's most popular album was "Velvet Hammer" which was produced by Steve Albini of Nirvana/ Big Black fame.
They were on Rough Trade, which makes their first three albums hard to find, and they were particularly good live. Here's a request for some Scrawl, please.GFS
Years ago I purchased a taper's collection. You might consider him to be the Dan Lampinski of New Orleans. If it moved at Tipitina's, The Saenger Theatre, The Municipal Auditorium, Jed's, Jimmy's, The Dream Palace, etc. for about eight years, he taped it.
He recorded for years and when he tired of it, he sold them as a collection at blank tape prices. Still it was pricey. I have added many live bdcsts. [TUL box, etc.] and later shows, and comprehensively catalogued the entire collection.
The issue is how to digitize such large amounts of tape. Any ideas?
