Boy I want to hear this. I saw him there during the End of the Innocense Tour. XLNT. I also sawhim picking up food where I was witng for mone, the night the US started bombing Iraq in "Bush v. Iraq I". Just getting dark, everyone getting ready for a night full of bombing poor Iraqis. "Don, you were right! He was beating plowshares into swords!" I told him. He grunted.
The same set list was also on Westwood One Superstars In Concert show #85-22, broadcast week of October 12, 1985...so the actual recording date is earlier than 1986....probably it was in 1985.
This looks great! Thanks Dave! Right about the time I was graduating from high school, so these songs are ones I remember well.
Amazing how silly people really believe that these altercations in the Middle East were so-called Bush wars. It is also fascinating the sheer number of people who actually vote for their leaders because musicians or actors tell them too. Henley is good, but he is no Dylan and certainly not the voice of any greneration. For someone who has spent so much time being critical of the U.S., Henley and the Eagles are really a pristine picture of american capitalism at its finest.
Howdy Dave! This is your #1 fan in N.C.
Thinkin' 'bout The Eagles brand of country-rock got me in the mood for some more good ol' shitkickin' jamz. Think ya' might find any Dwight Yoakam or David Allan Coe bootz out there?
Would be much appreciated.
Anonymous,
I hear ya.
I don't know that Dylan was the voice of any "greneration" (sic) either. I know that I'll vote for "Sararh" Palin. Let's nuke those dirty non Americans and show them who's boss.
You are the twit, and by the tone of your email, you are obviously the one who lives in a double wide. I would seriously doubt that the news you receive is anything more than sound bites since you are so clearly uneducated. Simpleton, read a book, OK? The little news you do get, don't get from CNN, OK? Lastly, vast numbers of people have been killed in altercations for thousands of years.
