This is a fantastic sounboard recording, a must have for every Neil fan, even if the show is not complete.
Date and venue should be : Torhout Rock Festival, Belgium, 1993-07-03
Artwork incorrectly lists track 9 as "Motorcycle Mama" but should read "Live To Ride".
corrections made in post - many thx for the help!
Is this a different source to the one you posted in 2008?
possibly not, my memory barely holds last week much less 2 years ago.
Let me look into it...and I'll post here in the comments.
There was some confusion as to original post of the complete set for the Torhout festival (file names for that download and txt file still refer to the Roskildefestivalen Roskilde, Denmark on 1st July 1993. Hawk's "River's Edge" release seems to have missed out 3 songs (Separate Ways/ Powderfinger/ Only Love Can Break Your Heart) so I suspect that the NY set on your 2008 post originated from the Kiss The Stone release called "Event Of The Season" KTS 524/25.
This concert was also filmed by a roadie of Metallica. The DVD circulates with the soundboard audio on it. The festival doesn't exist anymore as it was in 1993 : one festival day in Torhout on the first Saturday of July and the next day the whole circus moved to Werchter (200 km further). Unbelievable nowadays.
By the way, I was in the crowd during this afternoon concert. Great memories !
Thanks for the Neil and recent Pearl Jam posts (along with so many others)! Been too busy with work to grab them just yet but I have my work cut out for me...
I would love to know how I can listen to this?? any help would be appreciated
thanks a lot.
ciao,just
Allan, you first need to get a Rapidshare or Megaupload account (visit respective sites for more infos, but it's very easy) and activate it. Then, you must download a program for torrent downloads. For example, I use Flashget and it works pretty good. Then, by copying the links provided here into your browser, you can access the download area, where you can DL compressed audio files. Finally, you must use another software (winrar???) to decompress the batch of files you got. Mind, you'll get FLAC files, so be sure that your audio player has a proper codec.
Don't worry if it all sound complicated, it is not, unless you are a total noob.
No, all you need to do is download a program called winrar and then winamp (music player) to play back the music files. Both Rapidshare and Megaupload permit free downloads of files so you do not have to sign up for an account with them.
