Thanks Dave...this band was one of Garcia's favorites...saw them open for the Dead I believe in Foxboro, Mass. Vaguely remembering there being a snippet of Garcia and one of the members playing an acoustic song backstage that was aired on one of the networks news afiliates during the evening news. I think around the 4th of July (?). Also remember reading Garcia gave one of his guitar's to said band member. Note the Wes LA Fadeaway cover. Thanks again!
Got to listen to this today and in part of the interview they mention their connection to the Dead starting back in 1988. Also the song on the news was "This land is my Land" (If my memory serves me right...).
