This fantastic version of this show was released some years ago by Digital Brothers who made a great job merging two sources (soundboard and audience) to create an incredible sound matrix, restoring the live atmosphere that the raw soundboard was missing.
The "Zurich Revisited" bootleg soon became noted as the best bootleg from the 1977 tour.But one could have different opinion. One reviewer wrote "I have mixed feelings about this. This audience/soundboard matrix sounds indeed closer to Seconds out than the soundboard (that's a compliment), but new problems have been introduced. The audience over the beginning of several tracks is quite annoying..."Yes, audience noise had been added which in itself shouldn't be an issue if it were not too intrusive during Phil's introduction and even during several songs. Because of this issue "Zurich revisited" could not stand the comparison with an official release ! Even if the sound quality of the music itself is astonishing.The issue of audience noise is fixed in this new release (hence the version 2), making it much more enjoyable to listen to, and now really really close to an official release.A new cover has also been designed (sorry but I find that "Zurich revisited" have the ugliest cover of all the 1977 Genesis boots).
As a bonus you'll find other tracks that Genesis played earlier in the 1977 tour but left off the set-list by the time of the Zurich concert.
Some notes about the bonus tracks :"All in a mouse's night" is from the Gaumont theatre in Southampton. This soundboard recording suffered from the lack of bass guitar, totally inaudible (unrecorded ?). This flaw has been repaired in the version presented here."The knife" from Earl's court had its intro slightly cut in the original recording; this has also been repaired.

Thanks, how do you repair no bass guitar recorded?
you use a parametric EQ, select the curve pattern and it searches for wave that may appear through other mics - kinda like a scratch fixer on a photo editing software.
I have used it with occasionally great results but sometimes all it does is muddy-up the sound..

which show did you use to patch Carpet Crawlers?
WOW! I never thought version 1 could be improved upon but you sure did a fabulous job A++++!! The sound quality is perfect and very professional. THE must have show from the 1977 tour...thanks so much!!! Oh and the artwork...agreed way better than the original.

...But I ran this through Traders Little Helper and it suggests that it has been bloated from an mp3/lossy source....
is this true?
This release certainly seems to have a lossy source (the spectral analysis shows a cut-off), which is strange considering that version 1 does not.
TLH also finds that it has an lossy probability of 79%, whereas the original version is a definitive CDDA 100%.
As good as it sounds (although it does sound a little compressed compared with v1.0, which is what alerted me), it's a real shame because this version 2 will now be rejected from collector/sharing pools and audio specific torrent sites.
What happened during the creation process?
Is there any chance that this can be corrected and re-uploaded as clearly lossless?
I hope so because it's such a fantastic concert and the creator clearly went to a lot of effort.
managed to download a few tracks - and the sound id indeed great - but now now unable to extract files. UnRarX gives the following error message:

What the §%#& if it is sourced from a mp3 source !? Apparently, it was a high bitrate encoding, so I don't think anybody would be able to hear the difference by ear. You needed a software to find it...
If the sound is good it is what matters ! I largely prefer a perfect sounding show in mp3 than an acverage audience recording in lossless.
In the case of this Zurich show, I'm much more pleased with this version 2 (even if it is mp3 sourced) than with the previous version, which had too many flaws IMO.
