I believe this Sept. 5 1974 material is actually from the soundboard though this version has so much reverb added and inferior mastering--probably done to match the sound of the bonus tracks--that it only sounds like an audience source!
There are superior, newer sources for this LA show including 'Strange Fascination' which is the same material with a better sdb transfer (also originally taken from a vinyl source though--like this one is too). That's one to look for for those interested in live Bowie '74!
Anyway, this is quite cool for the bonus tracks which aren't included on 'Strange Fascination'. Nice to hear Bowie's tribute version to his friend John Lennon on Imagine--hadn't heard that one before. Thanks Again, Dave!
