July 22, 2009
Glen Allen, Virginia
Innsbook Pavillion

Steve Howe
Chris Squire
Alan White
Benoit David
Oliver Wakeman

Recorded by Dave Thompson (RCarter)
Audience Recording
Lineage: Zoom H2>PC>CD Wave Editor for tracking>db Poweramp for FLAC Level 8 conversion>TLH for SBEs, testing, ffp and md5
Approx. 15' in front of soundboard, slightly left of center.
Turned out to be a pretty decent recording. Especially for the much maligned H2. Crowd noise is at a minimum, though present throughout.
There were some security ducks, mostly during All Good People, and a little bit of wind.
The wind is most noticable during Howe's solo, but it's not bad at all.
Overall the band sounded great. Big improvement over the November 19, 2008 show in Richmond despite the shorter set list.
David's vocals were spot on. Squire's harmonies sounded great. Wakeman sounded like he was having fun. Howe and White were their typical awesome selves.
After his solo, Howe suggested that certain members of the audience shouldn't scream the next time they hear Vivaldi.
Special thanks to Emily and her boobs for getting the recorder in.

I think that we need a picture of Emily's recording setup....for informational purposes only of course.... ;-)

Thanks, this sounds like yet another good show

I agree with Innocent Bystander, for all of us audio junkies, could you please demonstrate how Emily helped make this recording possible (hee,hee,hee....)

Thanks for a great recording!

From the description, it seems like Emily's assets were just used as an ideal non-frisking region to sneak the recorder in past the ticket takers. (I doubt it was nestled there throughout the concert--oh boy!)
