Dave, thanks so much for your sterling efforts in releasing this gem into the community. I have heard many live recordings from the BIA tour and I can honestly say that this one is my personal favourite... the band were really 'on' this night and it shows in this recording. Listen to Sultans and also Tunnel of Love which is perhaps the greatest live rendition, even eclipsing the officially released one on Alchemy Live. p.s. there exists a small part of the German national anthem played by Alan & Mark before the start of Going Home.
Fabulous share and I would recommend this to all music fans.
Perhaps in the lineage of music, DS were the last real band featuring a guitar hero to achieve real worldwide success.
Just to be 100% clear to fans, this release is based on the recorder 2 master and not recorder 1 which features on the double-vinyl boot "Live in '85" and which like this one also has great sound quality but ironically also ran a bit too fast. ... A speed corrected version of recorder 1 is also available if you hunt for it.
The files I received from the download contains 2 track #5's.
Private Investigations & Spirit Of The Age. Not sure of the correct order for these as both have the exact same time/date stamp on them and no mention of Spirit Of The Age is given on artwork or in the text info file or posting on the site.
Any ideas from Anyone as to which track should come first ?
I listened to them but there is no clear overlap between labeled track 4, these and track 6 (as labeled) to help figure out this mystery.
