This silver disc started off as an LP bootleg in the 70's. Luckily, Wholiday Music made a cd version of it. The sound isn't as good as Mike Millard's tapes, but considering its 1971, just as Who's Next was released, this is worth the download for even soundboard collectors!

OK- here's my story about this one: this is one of the first 'boots' i ever had (vinyl of course, though with a different cover). I always loved this one--sound is pretty good (even though it's mono) for an aud. recording with no distortion on the tape (very very rare for a Who aud. tape from the early seventies as we know how loud they were!!!), and Pete's between song comments are priceless. Moon has one of his better 1971 performances as well. Great versions of the songs.
On the original record, the groove ran right to the end after the last song on side 2 (Pinball Wizard) so if you didn't lift the needle right after the end of this song, you got some terrible noise (& needle damage) as the record ran right into the center paper circle! Ouch! (Here you luckily don't hear that!!)
A few years ago, a version of this show taken from the original tape showed up at The Trader's Den (and probably elsewhere too). That longer version is definitely worth checking out as it is almost the full concert including very rare and great live versions of Love Ain't For Keeping and Pure And Easy. (plus no vinyl noise as well).
This one is probably my favorite Who audience recording of all time!
I absolutely love that kind of comment. It made me laugh because I remembered having a similarly produced vinyl (not this album) that broke an Ortofon stylus because I was out of the room and it just kept banging the label.
