KSAN Soundboard Partially Broadcasted.

OU: I got this tape back in the late seventies from a John Cipollina's friend that was working for KSAN. He made a copy for me of what should be broadcasted at the time, but that then, for reasons I do not know, was only partially broadcasted in various stages. So here you can get bands that were not included in the various KSAN tapes in circulation. Also you can find here the only exsisting demos of the Soundole with John, apart from the unreleased single.
So this is like an amazing soundtrack of really good sound quality of some of the cream of the psychedelic era. I hope that sharing this I make somebody happy, like I really was when i got this tape for the first time, tape that i have listen several times during all those years with the same enthusiasm and pleasure.....

John Cippolina was never really given his due as a guitarist. Personally, I think he was one of the best of that era. But then my opinion is a little skewed.
Back during the summer of 1968, I smoked pot for the first time. The first song I heard stoned that day was "Gold and Silver" by Quicksilver Messenger Service off their first album. That experience had a profound effect on my life in more ways than one, but for sure musically. Prior to that, I was playing the trumpet in a soul band, covering songs by Wilson Pickett, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, and the like. After that experience, I quit the soul band, bought a Gibson Les Paul and joined a rock band, all thanks to John Cippolina.
So any boots you find from him or Quicksilver would be "music to my ears" :-)

Dear "Mr. Fantasy": that's up to when the guy who transfers Dan's tapes (Carl Morstadt) uploads it--can't think that Mr. Dave would have any control over that--so just sit tight & wait!
That'll surely be 'something to make us all happy'?
Maybe with something special like this, Carl is holding it back it for a Christmas present?
