One review: Wow, 3 nights in 3 different cities, the crew could not have gotten any sleep. This bookend show here completes the best 3 nights of music ever played, by anyone. Each of the songs in both sets should get considered within their respective best ever categories. Starting with the opening H>S>F, and then on to one of the best Peggy-O's you will ever hear, and closing the 1st set with a super high energy MNS. The Ship of Fools in the 2nd is super, all of the vocals are on throughout, and it may very well be the best of the year. Then the Comes a Time is such a fantastic version both musically and vocally. All of The '77 versions of this song are great, but I think that this one here may be the best of the group. I can also surely live with this drums>NFA, I liked when NFA was placed within the set like they did in the 70's. This show concludes with a fantastic UJB. They only played it a few times as an encore, but each time it was to complete a fantastic, and in many cases, even legendary shows. I will tell you all that need this show now!
Another opinion: Listening to this reminds me just how grate they were. Incredible muscianship and an incredible betty board. I have over a thousand shows (268 auds & the rest sbds) but I come back to this show at least once a month.

For my new buddy, Michael, this too is a great show and the 3 shows the reviewer refers to are Ithaca, New Haven and this Buffalo show. The analog soundboard tapes were great 20 years ago, so I have no doubt the sound quality of this offering totally rocks. Thanks for more Grateful Dead, Dave! The more the merrier!

Another couple of things to mention: Track 2 on Disc 2 is Sunrise, not Sugaree. Also, on my disc Estimated Prophet is not cleanly edited at the end. There is a small portion of The Other one there. It probably won't match up perfectly with the additional tracks from Internet Archive.
Randy, where is the internet archive where you are still able to download soundboards?
'43, the soundboards are stream only, but if you are clever, you can grab them. The audience recordings are the ones they let you download. Fortunately, a lot of Dead audience recordings sound pretty good.

PS: Once you get to the Dead area, on the right side you will see Sort Results By: choose Date and it will put all shows in chronological order. Makes for much easier searching imho.
Thanks once again. How can you grab the soundboard streams from archive.org. Does the capture come with the lossless quality?
Connect a cable from the Line Out on your sound card to the Line In or Mic (preferably Line In)on another PC and record it with an application such as Audacity. Split the one large .wav file with CD Wave, rename the files and Bob's your uncle. Since its a stream I would consider it lossless.
Thank you very much for this very awesome show. The MNS is just mindblowing - I think there's a glitch in the sbd because the music was too powerful to be contained on tape.
Also, you can actually get lossy shows off the archive...It's just a matter of scavenging what has "temporarily" streamed to your computer. Line in from your soundcard will just capture the VBR mp3 that is streaming - they don't stream lossless, just push the mp3 "temporarily" and the javascript player plays it.
You're right. Its been forever since I streamed a show from there. I thought the Hi-Fi was lossless. My bad.
