“This is a beautiful transfer of the initial test pressing (dated October 8, 1974) of Bob Dylan's Blood On The Tracks, recorded at Columbia A&R Studios in New York during September 1974. The contents of this LP went through significant changes before it was released, much of it being re-recorded, so this version is amazing to listen to. The publisher of this compact disc edition opted to reproduce the program without noise reduction or de-clicking, which is fine because the original disc was very clean, so I also left it untouched. This was the first CD edition of this made directly from the original test pressing produced by Columbia Records.”

Well isn't this special! Obviously anyone who has read about Dylan, or BOTT specifically, is aware that he scrapped these tracks... nice to finally have the scrapped edition. I don't know about this burrrn thingy. It wasn't obvious to these eyes when I opened the page. But, Dave has never done me wrong so.... Thanks for this!
Pretty much any CD authoring program should be able to handle cue files. I'm not sure, but xACT may also be able to split the file into discrete tracks using the cue file.

For OS X there's a free program called Max that will split the tracks. I've used it but I don't remember how to do it, though.
I've noticed 3 or 4 other Dylan posts that transferred down to only one or two long tracks. Will this program split those too? I don't think they have cue sheets. It takes me forever doing it myself with goldwave.
Its a real mean thing to do to upload one long track like this. I'm sure you could rip each separate track. This is just stupid.
Dave, I'm ashamed of some of the rude guests here on your site who have the nerve to complain about getting wonderful music for free.
Folks, if you can't bother to take the time to do what needs to be done with these tracks -- split them up, burn as one long track, whatever works for you -- take the whining elsewhere, please?
It's like showing up at a free buffet and complaining because the plates are square instead of round. Just dig in, exert a little effort yourself if needed, and be grateful.

I'm sure burrrn is fine too, but I have always liked Medieval Cue Splitter.
It splits the tracks, does tagging, etc without having to burn it to cd first.

I like the "Buffet" analogy. There's a lot of Russian cuisine being served up lately.
This is Bob at his very, very best. Overall, it's much better than the album that they eventually released.
I try not to be "mean" - I've shared almost 3,000 boots so far - expecting extremely little in return (I think...)!
They are all from my collection and passed along to you "as I received them". In other words some have one file, some split, some with art, some not, some with documentation, etc.
If using software to split the tracks for you is not enough then I am sure that you can find at least one or two (thousand) that are split.

If you know what you're doing with (say) Adobe Audition 1.5 it's SIMPLE and doesn't take long.
Surprising the number of folks who get something for free then start acting like PAYING consumers. Blah.

I just dl'ed and used X Lossless Decoder (XLD) for a mac and it worked out on this just fine. Given the quality of this album, putting in 10 extra minutes to hear it doesn't seem so bad. THANK YOU for posting all of this wonderful music!
Thank you. This is magnificent. I almost didn't bother to download this because I thought the tracks that were on the bootleg series and biograph were the ones here so I thought I already had them, I was wrong. Even a couple of the tracks that are on the original must be different mixes. This is every bit as great as the official release. The acoustic version of "Lily, Rosemary..." is amazing. I also want to thank you for the site. I'm new here (a month or so) and I feel like I'm a kid in a candy store. The quality here is amazing.
