More to Come...

I have tried to broaden the scope a bit here and judging by the comments that you are posting I am finding something for many of your musical tastes. By the way, I really appreciate the comments. Some of you say thanks all the time (that's appreciated but not really necessary), some of you add memories from the shows or the band members, some comment on the quality, some just download and listen - it's all good to me. I really enjoy this sharing and when you made personal well wishes for my wife I was absolutely blown away by the kindness expressed by our community here. You really revitalized me and encouraged me to increase my efforts!

In the next few days I have scheduled some
Pearl Jam
Jimmy Buffet (1975!)
Johnny Winter and Dr John
Bob Marley
Prince
Rory Gallagher
The Beatles
Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard (my first ever real country post)
Dead Kennedys
Sting and Gil Evans
Elf (Ronnie James Dio)
Foghat
Simon and Garfunkel
Paul McCartney from 2009!
Richie Blackmore's Rainbow
Focus
Frank Zappa
Pink Floyd
and More.

I have been making some requests available. Doing my best on others. I am a little delayed on repairing a few posts due to a HD crash. It appears recoverable but I am having trouble finding the time (keeping an eye on the river and the sandbags is still a daily thing for me but all is well so far!!).

I appreciate you and I also wanted to say thanks for visiting my "friends".
-Dave

Hi Dave--I just came in from working in my shop and listening to the Korn post and it occurred to me, "from Coltrane to Korn". Unbelievable! You have made my life (and all those I share this with) far richer. And okay I'll stop thanking you ;)

Dear Dave,
All your work here is really appreciated; we're all fellow music lovers and the bond you create sharing with us is what makes all your visitors take you as a friend. So don't be so surprised at all the love and affection we send your way, especially in trying times. :-)

Peace and love to you and yours!

Cheers from Spain :-)

I can't appreciate more your great work.

For thousands of people around the planet, including the artists themselves you are a mandatory reference in music.

Thank you very much.

Still wishing I knew how to share all the bootleg CDs I bought in the 90s with you. Kiss The Stone, Flashback, Silver Rarities, etc. I have a ton of Grateful Dead and a nice selection of other bands too. Not to mention all the shows I taped myself in the 80s on cassettes sitting in shoe boxes in my garage.

Many thanks for your work and effort. This is the best music blog!. If you could post John Lennon's ''The Dakota Beatle Demos'' and ''A Heart Play'' in FLAC files I would appreciatte it.-

Woohoooo! Sweet. Any chance we will be seeing anytime soon that Motorhead boot you mentioned?

Thanks for all you share!

Hi dave, this is a great site. A tech question though. I use goldwave to convert the files for burning but i never know which bit rate to convert to ie 16,24 or 32. What do you advise to get the best possible quality?

Thanks so much Dave for what you are doing here ... highly appreciated. I am really looking forward to your next Prince uploads (... hmmmh, any chance to upload the two missing Work It parts sometimes soon ?) ... have a great week ... bagan ...

Your name is Dave? Dave is the first name of the main figures from my favourite movie: Stanley Kubrick´s "2001". Dave Bowman becomes the starchild in the end. Anyway, I found two bootz here for a start, F. Zappa "Live in Austin, Tx 1974" and Pink Floyd´s "Meddled". The quality is stunning and I listened to these bootz a couple of times. Thank you for sharing - it makes my world brighter.

Dave, you kick a**!...as usual! Thx so much for all those damn great shows I've downed and rocked to since you started out. I can't express my gratitude enough...but you know that :-)

Lookin' forward to the Bob Marley, Rory Gallagher and Dead Kennedys posts you mentioned.

I know I'm a little late with requests but I'd be absolute ecstatic if you some day could posts shows/demos/outtakes with the following bands:

Sloppy Seconds
The Pirates [Johnny Kidd]
Screeching Weasel
The Riverdales
The Queers
The Saints
The Lazy Cowgirls
Radio Birdman
GBH
The Exploited

+ any 60's garagerock/punk bands (preferably from the US).

That's it for now buddy, take care, and again, my very best wishes to your wife. I hope everything is well or soon will be.

ROCK'N'ROLL FOREVER!!!

Hey QB! Thanks for all you do. Can't wait to hear that '75 Buffett! I sort of wrote Buffett off in the last few years, but listening to some of these posts of his earlier music has brought me back to him. He should be giving you royalties! Seriously.

I have also been attending a lot of concerts since logging on to your site. I quite going to live shows for about ten years. Now I can't get enough. All these artists I am seeing also owe you royalites man... seriously.

I remember how outraged my friend and I were back in 1989 when we went to see Motley Crue and the tickets were $20!! Can you imagine? I just paid $320 to see the Stray Cats and was fine with it.

Wanna hear another story? I was in a car accident back in July of 1990. Had tickets to see Buffett at Alpine Valley. My Mom sent a letter to the venue explaining why there would be an empty seat that night. About a week latter, I received a post card from Jimmy!! How many artists would do something like that? Honestly, I bet quite a few.

REQUESTS:

- Jimmy Buffett
- Men At Work
- Colin Hay (Solo)
- Stray Cats
- Brian Setzer (Solo)
- The Cardigans
- The Faces!!!
- Rod Stewart
- Van Halen (Charlotte 2007)
- Van Halen (Demography)

ANY DAVID LEE ROTH SOLO!!!!! I have no DLR solo in lossless.

THANKS QB, YOU ARE THE BEST!!

Dave

As usual your site and quality of boots is top notch.

If you need a few other requests I would be very interested in any of the following groups.

- Gary Numan/Tubeway Army
- Sex Pistols
- The Clash

I realise these may not be for every one, but people like the Pistols made a massive impact on music, for good or worse dependant on your feelings.

perhaps... some "joy of cooking"?
i haven't heard them in years...

Dave, glad things are going well. beatles at Doger Stadium would have sedimental value, since, dare I say it, I was there. Dr. John and Johnny Winter??? THERE's a combo I would not picture. Any Paula Abdul and NIN? Any Amy Grant and Scott Weiland? :-). Listening to Beach Boys Unsurpassed at the moment, amazing. And I hate the beach boys!

Children play in splashing water, dog eco from a distance, glory bills ring out through the air, sounds of hones blow every were. A wood picker carves a tree, scene of motion fill the seen. The flow of energies delight, velvet light, touching the might, The will from the older who speak in ivory crawling clovers that chase to sky it misunderstands the tears the angles cry. Rainbow color collide it holds a life line for time, a silver spoon lagoon in corals reef were a sunken ship lays in a beauty sleep. Until I discovered this site, I thought I was a music hound. Ha!

Your presentation of this music speaks volumes about your passion for it.

So. Who satisfies your musical passion?

I just to be hooked to reading all the news on the internet but since I discovered your website, visiting your website has now become my daily routine. It is much more soul-satisfying. Thanks for sharing, and I still don't understand how you have to time to remaster all these boots and post them everyday. Well, keep them coming (and I hope the clicks count). Any more Steely Dan or Jimi Hendrix is always appreciated.

Best, Dutchy

Last month someone 'special' asked me to name 3 outstanding technological achievements of human endeavor from the last 20 years. "Well" i said "there's the Hubble Telescope and then there's QualityBootz" - I couldn't think of a third cos that Hadron Collider turned out to be a bit of a lemon, humm didn't it. Mr Specials just went out to get his second 500GB Seagate ready for the new bootz, I already got mine - hek lol.

Cheers guvna for any and all bootz.

Like everyone else says, thanks so much for all your hard work on the site Dave. I don't comment that often, but everything I download from here - Zappa, Prince, P-Funk - is really appreciated and enjoyed!!
