OU Notes:
A 6 day restoration project ...
For those who like details ... I Took the original video seeded here a couple of years back and split it into video stream and audio. Took jazzfromhell's uncompressed DAT WAV and matched it up against the original AC3 audio. Resampled to 48 KHz, normalized the resulting file to 0db and saved it to WAV.
Took the elementary video stream, resized it to fit the screen, made a couple of minor repairs, then ran several filters. De-interlaced with a 1 pix vertical smooth and a light sharpening. Adjusted individual channel levels to keep the color matched as close as possible to the original while darkening the black and lightening the white. I added a light grain removal to take out some edge artifacts and flat surface graininess. Anyway, 36 hours of rendering later, I had a new single pass VBR mpeg at maximum setting and I re-authored the DVD with the best audio possible.
Some of you might not like the light edge texturing that has replaced the compression artifacts, but it's the price that had to be paid for working on a compressed mpeg rather than a clean uncompressed copy ... The loss of the blue line on the left and VHS crackling across the bottom is an improvement, but I'm going to post a few comparative screen grabs so you can decide whether it's worth the download.
Enjoy!!

Could you please post the artwork in a separate file? I downloaded it, burned it, and forgot to print the cover. Thanks for the great site!

I created this video, and it's my artwork on the cover.
It would be really neat in the future if you credited www.zappateers.com for bringing this version to the internet.

Thanks

Howdy,
I spent a whole bunch of time DLing these files and have no idea how to make the DVD or even watch this on my MAC. I know this isn't a tutorial, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dave. Please re-upload!! The link/webage to download the rapidshare notepad is "no longer available". I haven't seen this video in over 15 years and it was on a grainy VHS tape. Please, please re-upload. You're the best, Dave.
