As a big, big Beach Boys fan I say thank you!! Anything else you have of theirs is greatly appreciated and highly desired!! Especially anything live from the 70's.
In one of your earlier posts you mentioned it would be a good read for people to discuss groups they liked and what their thoughts would be, on what era would be the best of the group live.
I never do this but thought it would be fun so here goes.
I will quickly do The Beach Boys. For me their best live era is roughly 1970-1974. This was a great time for them even though they went from being cool, to uncool then back to cool again. They would incorporate a horns section occasionally. They hired Ricky Fataar and Blondie Chaplin to join the group at this time which also helped them put out some of their best rockin' material of their career.
Also, this was when they would play a good chunk of new material from just released albums and maybe a rarity or two as well or a solo song or cover song.
By 1976 they really started to develop into the travelling jukebox phase of their career that would carry them through right into the 90's with the exception of the boxset tour they did in 92-93 I think, which included unreleased songs from the boxset and a great acoustic set.
