Much appreciation, gratitude towards you Dave for sharing ELP material..:-))
Best,
JR
Thank you Dave for sharing ELP, i look forward to hearing all the concerts you uploaded.
Hi, great blog!, loving all these great conerts!!! I'm looking for the ELP show from Germany on 4-23-73. Anybody got that one to post?
(it's available on the "sugarmegs" website but only in crappy streaming quality.) It's a complete show tape and the audience is very quiet and respectful so you can actually hear the band--even Emerson's stage banter--which is quite rare for an audience ELP tape from this era.
Anyway, great blog--keep up the good work!!!!
HC! This may well have been my first ever big rock concert! Dave you are a megastar.
Probably have the ticket somewhere - cost about a fiver, ho ho.
Not long after we were back there watching the Floyd doing DSOM.... then decades later I took my daughter to the Empire Pool to watch Placebo... [a band that had been here in MK less than a decade before that... aint life weird?]
BTW my second rock gig was Dr Feelgood at Friars... what a contrast, ushering in the new era of railing against pomp rock, but who had the last laugh?!
Cheers
Roy
Thanks Dave for sharing all this ELP stuff.
But, I think this show is mp3 sourced. There are clicks between tracks (even when playing the flac files)and in EAC the wav's have that nasty buzzcut view.
I could be wrong, and hope I am. Just wanted to let everyone know.
Could you repost this? Links are dead. Thanks.
