This is a bizarre fragment of what must have been a raucous evening at the studio. Lots of talk, John bitching about everything, Paul on Drums. They almost play a song or two. Not for any but the fanatic out there. Fun in a Get Back Sessions sort of a way.

These are from the CD liner notes; there are other texts that indicate Linda McCartney played organ, and May Pang on tambourine. Track 5 is a variation on "Sleepwalk" and Track 9 also includes fragments of "Chain Gang".
Recorded whilst Lennon was producing Harry Nilsson's Pussy Cats album. Burbank Studios, Los Angeles - March 28, 1974. Not, perhaps, as productive as some certain sessions from the previous decade...

Not quite "get back sessions": this is the ONLY time Paul & John got together again in a studio after the band split. So this is quite a document, not gor fanatics only, this is a piece of music History... Even though John was not really in great shape ;-)

Lineage was studio multi-track to two track 1/2" reel-to-reel. Reel-to-reel to TDK-SA-X cassette transferred using TASCAM studio grade cassette deck with no noise reduction. EQ'D during transfer to DAT to enhance low end absent in original 'hurried' studio mix. A few minutes of total silence, moving of equipment, etc. was eliminated during this phase. DAT->CD master.
Ringo and Harry Nilsson had split 45 minutes or so before Paul & Linda arrived. Yikes!
And in answer to many inquiries ... this is all that exists from that unusual night.
