Live at Manchester Maine Road, Manchester City UK 1988-08-08 AUD from Liberated Bootleg Cassettes (includes cover scans) - Join Raggedy-Man Dave for the ride!
OU: This two-cassette set was picked up at a flea market somewhere in Europe from a big British girl selling from a stall. I was told by other vendors that she was really mean-spirited and hard to deal with, but I had no troubles with her. Maybe one of you knows who that was?
Anyway, the tapes are from the UK. It's a different deal this night with the band, too. Dark Side Of The Moon is played more like a "banded for radio version" rather than the flow-through one you are more used to. Other performances also seem fine-tuned and rather to the point, vocals sound somewhat strained at times. It makes for a more interesting listen! Nice recording quality, too.

Not entirely sure but this could be the version I recorded many years ago.I was certainly there (Live not to far away used to go the footie there as well)and I do remember sneaking a recorder in with me butI gave the original tape away years ago so if someone also claims to the rights to taping this ,who knows.

Dave, quick heads up - part 6 missing from MU links
Big thanks as always
part 6 is up
also, "Doinker" is the collector's chosen name and not necessarily the taper's.
Hi Dave,
No worries if you too busy but would be appreciated if you get a chance to fix the Floyd -Leeds 72 upload - see comments on that page for reported issues...
All the best!
This was the first concert I ever went to, so I didn't start small. And such an easy date to remember too! I still have the MLoR sweatshirt I bought and it still fits (it didn't then).
Hey Dave- Thanks, I tried pt.6 added on MU and it says cannot find- works fine on RS so thanks for linking these 2 perfectly, making complete dl easy- just thought you should know. Any one else having same issue w MU? Barry
i was at this show thanks,i have it on a old cassette tape,i bought back in the 80s,so it will be good to hear it and compare.i also have it on old vhs, posted some footage on youtube and so has someone else.for anyone who was there.
wonderful guitar solo for comfortably numb
Thanks for posting this show - It certainly takes me back (23 years!)
It was the first time I'd seen Pink Floyd and I was blown away by their performance.
Even though I was so close to the front of the stage the surround sound was amazing.
I remember thinking the electricity used to power the light show could've lit Manchester up for weeks.
Thanks again, PJ
