what, so a cheap handheld audience cassette recording was the official release !!!???
was it bollocks - get a grip you pompous cowardly over zealous wazzocks !!!!
an amateurish audience recording is not and never will be the same as the official release recording tape source.
It is a completely different audio 'version' of a particular performance, and therefore does not require heavy handed 'we know best' removal and suppression !!!!
yes, Dime. Their policy is that any recording or performance or song has been officially released from that particular venue then it must be removed (REGARDLESS OF THE SOURCE!).
Stupid policy of course but The Rolling Stones (perhaps others?) actually used an audience recoding on one of their radio station promos - I wish I could remember which one - but I thought that it was an interesting choice since it barely rated VG- (obviously they just needed a filler song).
There are several complete sources out in the trading community I saw the covers for when I was researching this show to do the covers (which were in the comments when this was up on Dime)-don't know their quality obviously.
