This is different other versions floating around. This version comes straight off the FM radio and contains the pre-show interview with Marcus.
OU: This outfit played Paris the monday after this particular show at the Olympia but the seats were so expensive that I refused to buy tickets. I am in total disagreement when ticket prices reach a certain level, I consider that something completely elitarist and disrespectful towards those who cannot afford such prices. Fortunately the radio is much more democratic (that's what I love about it!) and the same night of the Paris show FIP (my favourite radio, such incredible programs...)
broadcasted the Juan-les-Pins show. Still, a pity I could not witness this event live.
I recorded this on monday, then I had to leave to Germany for the rest of the week. That's why so see this one appearing with a little delay. Many of you already have this show, so you already know how fantastic it is. The interview with Marcus is also intersting, especially when he mentions that they have prepared the whole set in just 3 (three!!!) days, the first of which they did not touch an instrument... they just talked about the time they had with Miles...
Enjoy!

Thank you very much Dave.
What a great show....
Thanks for this jazz show, Dave - love it!
These guys are so intense they can make you shed a tear with a single note, just like Miles
used to do. Thank you so much for this wonderful post.
megaupload part 8 seems to be down, that's been two days I've been trying and it constantly says 'temporarily unavailable'; pls could you check it out if you get the chance? love to hear this show!
Thanx so much for making this available! I first heard about this band for Europes lucky summer Jazz Fests by googling or youtubing Herbie 2011 and was led to some amazing video, but aside from one broadcast, the rest were audience. Hearing the quality of musicianship with this quality sound is a rare treat for those of us who couldn't get there! THe way these guys run from one tune to another is a total homage to how Miles started doing that in the 60's ...Muy Bien! BTW, I saw the file in the winamp list nd can I possibly contribute with "snail mail" instead of visa?
