OU: Two Mar Y Sol attendees, Pedro Collazo & Oscar Mandry (from Ponce, Puerto Rico) made an effort while enjoying the festival which resulted in a real treasure. They set out to record a lot of material from the festival with a tape recorder. Although an 'audience recording', this is probably the best bootleg I've ever heard in my life. Some parts/songs sound like if they were recorded professionally.
This bootleg was edited and compiled by (the OU) as well as the album cover for which I used a picture taken, also, by Collazo.
No errors occured.

Great concert with many great bands from the day. I have the double vinyl in my collection and last i checked Mar Y Sol was not released on cd. I am glad that this aud surfaced.
Interesting to see the other bands who played; i know Lemerson, Pake & Ealmer did a *famous* set there.
Note to #1 This is (obviously) different than the official release.
Note to #2 The ELP set was officially released in "Works".
Dave, this is great stuff & can't wait for "Vol.2"! You do such GREAT work here that I am almost hesitant to tell you that on The Faces portion, "Miss Judy" is repeated twice. It's included as part of "It's All over now" and then again, as a separate track(4)! Being familiar with your usual high standards, I thought you would like to know. Thanks again for all the great music!
upon risk of showing my age, i was in attendance at mar y sol i think still have a button somewhere ..there is an "official wesite", just goggle mar y sol festival..just last yr, i saw billy cobham in a small club in seattle and told him i saw him w/ mahavishnu orch there. we both had a good laugh over that. john mclaughlin played same club later, but he was not as acessable as billy..thanks for all the music you post
