I'm a big fan of paisley underground groups.

Steve Wynn has always been nice to his fans. And this post – thanks Dave – brings back a couple of memories from back in the day.

After Dream Syndicate split Steve Wynn used to come to Denmark and give concerts every once in a while in the early nineties. An owner of a very small local record store specializing in American rock knew Steve Wynn and Wynn promised to give a small acoustic performance in the record store as a kind of gesture to his friend. I was invited and about twenty people filled the room where Wynn performed a handful of songs which were recorded on a cassette tape.

On another occasion in the nineties after the last encore at a gig with his band here in Denmark a girl in the audience gave him a homemade T-shirt with a print on. 5 – 10 minutes later Wynn came back and performed some extra songs solo for the crowd to say thanks.

It’s nice to witness that some rock stars appreciate their fans.

Cheers
