OU: I was absolutely heartcrushed this sunday, as it came clear to me that my favorite metalsinger of all time, Ronnie James Dio, had lost the battle against cancer! I cried all that evening! I was going to see him last December, but that DIO-tour got cancelled just as they found out about his sickness. I really thought he was gonna beat it!
I couldn't listen to his songs the first day or so, but as time passed I started listening to my old recordings of the god himself.
I've recorded DIO about 5 or 6 times and at 3 of these occasions it has turned out to be excellent recordings. Now, I've spread all of these on the dime, but I'm not really keen on uploading stuff here anymore since all (ALL!!!) of them get spread out in mp3 all over the place. I even found some of my own recordings being SOLD at an internet MP3-shop from Lithuania! But I thought I transfer these shows again, not doing anything else than small, small adjustments to them.
They still sound absolutely brilliant, even today, and with the fresh R.I.P Remaster they sound at their best!
