Early Audio Pre-release Soundboard Mix for the Official Movie
Maxell XLII 100 ??Gen Cassette Masters -> NEC AUK-8000E Deck -> Total Recorder 4.5 -> SB Live 24Bit -> Wav -> Cool Edit Pro 2.0 -> Flac Front End (level 5) -> Flac
Notes from Marooned: I got this in trade with a fellow subscriber of the old Brain Damage Magazine back in 1995. This has a completely different sound then what you are used to. There are some different lyrics and you can hear instruments and sounds in this mix used throughout the recording that were buried in the official release. This is a true gem.
Two songs at the end of CD 2 are filler songs that came on the tape. The first two songs are from an unknown live Roger Waters concert. What I find interesting is that WYWH is a very quiet relaxed version without drums for the most part of the first half of the song. Nice version. Following is Brain Damage/Eclipse from the same live unknown concert date. A VERY bluesy version of Eclipse in which Roger actually asks the audience to sign along during the middle of the song. It then turns into more of a Hard Rock song in the end. Easily my favorite version of the song.

I'm part of a brand new Floyd fan site with tons of downloads. How do I get in contact with you to trade links and for you to put some links to some shows?

Dave
Nothing to do with this floyd post, but you have asked "is there any bootlegs you are after" (not to me personally, but in general)
In the past I haven't answered this question as I've been happy to D/L many of the great bootlegs you have posted, However if you come across any Television Personalities Boots, that would be a real treat.
I know they don't fit next to a lot of the 70's rock posted, but it would make my day !
Esp, a lossless version of "The Moonlight Club London 16th June 1980, but any would do.
As ever, take care my friend, and keep up the good work
There's only 14 tracks on disc 1 with track 14 being "Is there Anybody Out There?". It appears there is no "Goodbye Blue Sky." Was there a typo in the notes or is there a missing 15th track?
please let me look into it. boot artwork is rather unpredictable.
Thanks a lot!
As always... thank you for posting such great material.
Chris

Goodbye Cruel World and Is There Anybody Out There? are on one track (n. 14 on Cd one), Goodbye Blue Sky is track 6 on the same Cd.
Many thanks for everything you post. It's really fab
Thanks for this post, but I am quite certain it is the audio soundtrack from the official release. 8 months ago, I ripped the audio from the DVD and edited the songs (with some dialog, of course, mixed in) to a single cd. I have listened to them both VERY closely, and come to the conclusion that these are the same recordings. Although, some music interludes are a little longer on DVD, the vocalists are the same as movie down to small inflections in voices in the same passages and such. Sorry, if I bursted some pepes bubbles ;-)

'Goodbye blue sky' seems to be present, but track 15 'Is There Anybody Out There?' doesn't seem to be. Where is the real 2.0 help desk? :-) lol
Great post, great site. All I have for you is a big THANK YOU!
This blog is amazing
"...the two bonus tracks: Yes. they are from the R.W. Quebec Show on 1987-11-07.
Anyone with two ears and who bothers to actually listen to it, can tell that this is taken directly from the movie. This is no "pre-film" mix or anything like that, it is simply a bad sounding version of the film soundtrack as it appears in the film. So there's no point in sharing it as there are several better sounding rips from the film. I've talked to Marooned about this long time ago, when he first released it, and he eventually admitted he didnt research it enough before releasing it and that it is indeed just the normal soundtrack, and he was embarrassed by the release. Upon asking him why he then still had it in his share (in his DC hub), his reply was, word for word: "to bug people like you, who ask me questions like that, and thats the gods honest truth".. so for future reference, dont blindly trust anything with the Marooned name attached to it to be genuine."

It is most certainly NOT a cherished release. Just greatly misunderstood to be one. Thought you should know.
PS - Love the blog! Thanks for sharing!
just listened. This is definitely a rip from the official movie.
this is commercially available material and you might want to consider removing it
