... vs The Third Reich (1985)
Flac Image + Cue & HQ Scans
Label: VE Records (DX-62)
Mono Vinyl
An interesting vinyl release of what claims to be one of the actual uninterrupted gigs from the famous Star Club sessions. The quality is good to poor (it varies from track to track) but it's interesting to hear the material before Lingasong & Bellaphon got their hands on it and equalized the poor thing to death. "The Beatles vs The Third Reich" is more a curiosity than a revelation.

Thank you Dave but one long file is very bad, sorry!
I thought that this included a cue file for burning. Am I wrong?
I really cannot believe the audacity of people who complain about things to Dave, as the first commenter did. If'n ya don't like it, shut your hole and move along. This is all gift, everything on this site, and we owe a lot to Dave for his efforts.
Thank you.
Thank you very much. I like this a lot, but then I almost always prefer things that are less processed, which is why I like bootleg recordings so much, I think. I compared this to the Purple Chick collection, and at least for the stuff I listened to, I actually prefer the raw recording. In any event, they are very different (although definitely the same recording). Matter of taste, I suppose.
don't worry about the "1/2 empty" folks. I try not to...
Hey Dave,
Just curious, I've never been able to figure out how to use cue files. Of course I've only tried it with roxio. Any simple instructions you know of?
Thanks!
Amen, Dave! We just appreciate what you do and my glass for one is always 1/2 full if not more...
For cue files. Google Medieval cue splitter, download and install. Run it, load cue file, click split. Job done!
Martin,
Thanks for the tip about the medieval cue splitter. I haven't played with it yet but it looks like it will do the job quite nicely.
Medieval CueSplit is only for PC. If you have a Mac, use XLD, a freeware, that rips discs and does other things. Just drag the cue file on the XLD icon, and it will open with a picture of the cover, and a list of the files. There is a burn button right there above the titles, just hit it and go-go!!!!
XLD also works for PC's, I believe. Download from assorted sites.

Dave, would love to see some of the MisterClaudel Beatles, like Bravo Blitz-Tournee, etc. They sometime go overboard (whole shows like the otherwise wretched Big Night Out's, multiple versions with minor differences) but they make wonderful packages....
