I spent a view days away and when I came back to the blog I was absolutely blown away!!

Reason is the Deep Purple Appreciation Society has been searching for years and never found one. I have likewise been doing similar with the same results. What you don't remember me? Everyone else used that name too? Oh OK, well, I basically said I needed you to help me recover a bunch of shows I lost that I got from another site. Even though I've known about you for years, and maybe downloaded 2-3 shows in the past, I've tried to avoid your site. My addiction to music was bad enough with one site, I was terrified to venture out. Well, to recover my lost shows I had no choice but to delve deeper into what you got. I started slowly a few weeks ago looking for my shows on your site. However when you scared me last week I decided to do what I could in case you shut down. This forced me to take a serious look at your offerings. Not only did you have a majority of my lost shows, but my fears were confirmed. You have so much awesome stuff, and I suspect a lot can't be found anywhere but here, that I"m now going to have to deal with my fears and reality. You are now going to be a regular stop for me. The first thing I will do after I go back to bed (it was a long night trying futilely to get what I could in case the nightmare of you shutting down occurred) and wake up will be to donate.
Thanks for brightening up my existence. I seriously mean that. Music not only is my favorite thing in life, but the fact that people and sites like yours exist is really hard to put into words what it really means to me. Your site and the other one I'm addicted to, are only possible because of this medium, the internet. It's one of the purest positive things the internet can do. Sharing music with the masses just for the sheer pleasure of making people happy. Not sure if I've made much sense here since I'm tired, but to summarize...

Btw, if you ever come across Little Steven & the Disciples of Soul Live at Reading Festival 1983, can you please post it? I was there (my first gig!) & used to have a 30 min segment of the set I recorded off BBC Radio 1 'Friday Rock Show' that was broadcast a few weeks later. That tape is long gone.

It's an unfortunate fact of life these days that the most vocal people on the internet are often the a**holes. Those of us who show up primarily as statistics in your server logs (albeit very GRATEFUL statistics in your server logs!) all too often forget to say a simple Thank You. Your generosity in sharing your vast and varied collection of shows is very much appreciated by me and, I suspect, a large number of others.
If the time ever comes when you decide that there are other more pressing demands on your life and you can't continue with this blog, I'd miss you but would wish you well. But please don't ever sign off because of stupid comments by a handful of idiots...and please don't forget that, vocal or not, there are, I'm sure, thousands of us out here who truly appreciate what you do each and every day.

I was struck by the number of people who do exactly what I do: wake up, log on and go directly to QualityBootz to start their day.
As a 99er, days would nomally begin with a long, painful slog through job listings, with little or no hope of landing one.
But thanks to QualityBootz, my days begin with the music you share here, and that slog through the job listings is just a little more bearable.
Maybe you can add social work or therapy to your resume, Dave!
I was one who did not like the vid, but had no issue with you hosting it. I just think that "entertainment" such as that found on such programs is truly sad.
I also think it is sad that some who take issue with these things, find the annonymity of the web soo comforting as to bash those who partake in its use and treat him/her with such contempt.
I think the world has gotten colder wtih the use of all the technology of today.
