The show took place at the Emerson Gynamsium of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. The actual date for the show was April 21st, 1972
The concert billing was:
West Bruce and Laing
Procol Harum and
Mahavishnu Orchestra (as the opening act -- imagine that!)
Also, this is the show that John McLaughlin tried to convince CBS to release officially and we all know where that went...sad! Hopefully someday CBS will open their vaults and release the complete show! Please help support the artists by buying their officially released music!

I remember coming accross this one on CD about 8 years ago when I was just getting into MO. It was $35 Canadian (too much for me), but then regretted never buying it. I eventually got this one in 192 so I will definitely be downloading lossless. JM's playing is simply stunning, especially on the last two songs. Thanks for the FLAC upload!

This is really great. The speed correction is slight, but it removes a dullness to the music. I compared this to what is supposedly a DAT from master version, which had some digital crap. I thought this speed-fixed version is near equal in sound quality, but slightly more enjoyable.
I highly recommend that you buy and spend many deep listening sessions with Mahavishnu Orch's official albums: Inner Mounting Flame, Birds of Fire, From Nothingness to Eternity and McLaughlin's early solo records, especially Devotion, as well as Miles Davis albums: Bitches Brew, Jack Johnson and In a Silent Way.
