Share freely but...
Please do not post the same links that I use on other sites, forums, etc.
Here's why:
I have excluded my site from search engines but other sites do not. So when you post my links on a site that is searchable then a group or record company can have the links deleted very easily.
I had a request to repost a Zep show from '73 since all the links were dead. I did a quick google and found that the exact links that I use were posted on several sites in the US, a couple in South America and even one in Russia. I decided to check another deleted post. Guess what? Same thing.
If you want to share the boot then please just upload the boot on a mirror and share THOSE links.
Your doing so will allow the posts that I make last much longer plus I really do not have a whole lot of time to do reups.
I know this is the internet. I do not know you and have no control whatsoever after I post something here but if you wish to see this blog continue to grow then I need your help on this!
thx.

PS I suppose that each of you can check the blog each and every morning and download what you want instantly and not worry about it but we have new visitors every day so let's be nice to them.

Great advice...
Personally,I come to your excellent blog for all my musical needs so I'm not familiar with most other blogs.
The only time I ever trade is through torrents as I'm a member of a couple of trade communities.
I hope people take your advice so everyone can enjoy these fine time pieces.
Keep up the great work.
Acknowledge.
Am I a part of this problem over at RambleOnZep.com ?
If so, I guess you'd prefer the links disappear from my site?
Wow, didn't know it worked like that. I'm using RSS myself so don't even bother to look up links on other sites. Love this one for all the obvious reasons. Keep up the great work Dave!
Well done, Dave - thanks for your excellent description how the internet, blogs etc. work. I hope that you'll succeed with your wishes so that your links (resp. your blog) will continue as long as possible.

I only use your site Dave and what a site it is!! Haven't uploaded anything and may have a few items you may be interested in, I don't know how to get them to you- ex. vinyl Talking heads transfered to CDR or IRS for Roxy Music from Richfield Coliseum transfer from original cassette tape to CDR + many others. Thanks for your insight and LONG MAY YOU RUN!!! Your site is the best!! Peace
To Tim,
I have lost MANY Zep shows recently... I cannot say that you or your site is the cause but in the future it would be appreciated if you reupped them and made them your own.

On a lighter note, I was gonna make a request for more wacky (photoshopped?!) pics of models holding octopi, but then on second thought... ;)
You got it Dave! GREAT advice and guidance. Thanks again for the great service you provide to the masses who LOVE great classic tunage.

Good point, thanks for explaining so well. Long may you run.
"Bonjour from France"
First at all thanks a lot for your job here !!! I come to your blog every day and it's always cool to discover new "old" shows.
I've listen to the UFO "Official Bootleg Box Set 1975-1982" (6 cds) during this week end and I just want to tell you that the "Record Plant NYC 1975" is in the box set so now "officially released".
Hey Dave, I know you have a lot to do, but I cannot find Pink Floyd Embryonic Madness with Mega anywhere, do you think you could do it?
could we have derek and the dominos "THE COMPLETE FILLMORE TAPES AND LAYLA THE COMPLETE STUDIO SESSIONS on mp3 please.i do not know anything about FLAC or how to transfer to mp3.its taken for granted that everybody knows how to do this, well everybodys does"nt......essexboy54
I shared Neil Young MTV Unplugged Outtakes, but I re-uploaded them to MU and mydrive.ch (your links were RS). Now the RS link are dead... But what I did too, was to mention the "original site" were I took the links. I don't know if that contributed to get the files deleted from RS...
But in the future, believe me, I'll reupload files to another account.
Long live QB and Dave.
Saludos y un abrazo.
Thanks for clearing this up. I would hate to see anything happen that would jeopardize this site and all the countless hours you have put into it to share so freely. Thank you to you and your family!
Isn't it so lazy...I mean, isn't it so much easier...to be lazy???
I think that loyalty is now made in China? It should be available at Wally's (same aisle as the clues).
To the friend with the mp3. I only load mp3s every now and then and ONLY if I received the files as mp3s in the first place.
It is against the traders "code" to down-convert and repost. It would get me banned at some of the hubs that I gleen from.
You want mp3s for personal use? Convert the FLAC to wave files with Traders Liottle Helper (free on the net). 100s of free apps will convert wav to mp3.
The girl with her little friend was just an attention getter. I was hoping to use it for a bootleg cover some day but it never seemed to fit.
And just for clarification. Posting the links elsewhere doesn't affect this site's viability. It just makes my efforts meaningless.
Zep links don't last long on any site.
I guess the 'new' people we should be nice to are the ones who keep leaving rude, ignorant and ungrateful remarks all over the place. Can we have it as mp3?, can we have it on this file hosting service? Oh by the way I just 'stole' all your links because I can't be bothered to do the hard yards and find some decent original content myself etc etc etc. By the way Zep links do NOT just disappear all over the place and I successfully went back thru all Dave's old pages not so long ago.
What's the matter with you people? Do you think this is just some giant sweet shop for you all to abuse?
Thank you Dave for all your selfless efforts, if i was you i'd be wondering why i bother right now
I was just starting to remove all mention of QualityBootz from my site when I realized that I only link to QB's blog pages, not the actual download links. So, if it's ok with you, I'd like to continue posting links to advertise your blog, as I do with many others at
http://www.rambleonzep.com
hey Dave, how can I contribute here? I'd like to post some shows... thanks, Bill
TLH will convert flac directly to mp3
I'm a regular but don't visit every day -- so, please follow this advice.
