The infamous One Love Peace Concert was held on April 22, 1978 at The National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. This concert was held during a political civil war in Jamaica between opposing parties Jamaican Labour Party and the People's National Party. The concert came to its peak during Bob Marley & The Wailers' performance of "Jammin'", when Marley joined the hands of political rivals Michael Manley (PNP) and Edward Seaga (JLP).

CAN'T D/L THIS YET BUT JUST WANT TO SAY THANKS IN ADVANCE
I have the Bob set and the Peter too but the latter only as mp3. That said the sound quality of the Peter's set is truly excellent, Bob's set is wonderful and the SQ (sbd) is very acceptable. I'm assuming they are available somewhere on some official source. I'm aware of a docu dvd of the event with a few trax on it but maybe i'm missing something.
Anyway this is all very interesting stuff so thanks very much
ok i've done a little resarch now,there was a vhs of Bob at One Love Fest released in 1981, there was a cd (now unavailable at amazon) of Peter's set rel in 2002. There is also a dvd called 'Heartland Reggae' (in issue) but no info is available as to the amount of music content. Has anybody seen it? I'd buy both sets today if they were available and complete!
I've downloaded all the files but can't read the shn format. Any clues?

Thanks for the info,just seems strange this stuff (i.e Bob and Peter) is not in issue and available. Anyway I can now help you - you need 'Traders Little Helper' (just Google) it's free and then 'add' the files and choose 'decode' audio to WAV format for playback and burning etc

Creamrice, launch the md5 application featured in each disc. Select "Lossy", drag and drop the files of each disc, do it one by one if you can, select the bitrate, 320 for better quality, click "Encode"... and you'll get mp3 files.

I think we can safely assume that Bob was up last presumably after Peter. Reggae in mp3? - I can live with digital encoding as vinyl doesn't share too well, but compression is out of the question!
Decode to wav, burn some discs and play 'em thru the biggest cones you have!
