Jon Anderson: Milwaukee 2010 (VG++ Aud) FLAC

I love to post shows from my hometown...
Jon_Anderson
...but the thought of Jon Anderson's career ending up playing at the Milwaukee Zoo kinda bugs me- especially since I have been to that zoo 1/2 dozen times and he was never there when I went ;)

This is such a cool show. That amazing voice is a bit weaker, but he hasn't lost any of the magic & wonder. And he does 'The Runner' from 'Olias...'
Righteous! thanks Dave!

Dave,
At least he got to play at the Milwaukee County Zoo, one of the best in the US. I have fond memories of being there in my youth and now taking my kids there when I'm back in Brew Town. Thanks for all the posts. God Bucks!
Blessings from MI

man, Jon needs a new manager. hes more than a legend, and a bit out-of-the-loop as a 'crowd draw' these days... but playing a Zoo?? when did the Puppet Show perform???

Playing the Milw County Zoo was by choice...I was standing in front of the sound guys...and heard them talking about some other "zoo shows" that were coming up. He did in fact play a couple more. Actually, for anyone who has seen Jon do a solo show...at least for Milwaukee it's a rarity, he gets to do stuff HE wants to do. Hearing some of his own acoustic interpretations of older lesser known YES classics is a treat as well. His reasoning(straight from his mouth)for that tour was a rebirth, and rejuvenation getting up from his recent serious sickness. Touring on his own, was a way of getting back into things.....Anybody that has the boot from this show will already know....Jon, for the most part was having fun waving and cheering at the train, every time it came around,as it was passing just behind the stage. Wooo! There were a few gentleman walking around with Pro-type cameras, and a few individuals were in perfect setup for vid footage....wouldn't surprise me at all to see some of this footage out there someday, someway. Outside of paying 14$ for parking, and the food is pricey...seeing a concert after a day at the zoo is worth it. I've seen Alan Parsons, REO, Head East, and a bunch of others at the annual Zoo Ala Carte, generally runs about a week at the end of summer.......have a great day with the kids at the zoo, then kick back in the natural background of the zoo as the sun goes down, and enjoy some top notch talent(sometimes)
