In the past your motto was: "No officially released material. Period." According to your maximum profit ("DONATIONS ACCEPTED AND APPRECIATED") this is apparently unimportant for you now: A 'bootleg' which includes a complete official release isn't a bootleg put a pirate release. In reality you are hypocritically and not better than the RIAA either: You earn money with the work of other.
Ah, I find it quite remarkable that the majority of those who want to stir up negativity do so behind anonymous tags. Quite cowardly actually.
Dave, please don't let idiots deter you from posting such great material. This is one of the best Bowie boots, ever. The Baal tracks make it a true gem. Thank you for your hard work here. It's very much appreciated!
Maybe this is more of a pirate than a bootleg, but anyway this is a legendary disc that made so much available again that wasn't re-released at the time of when this disc was issued.
And "Lieb mich bis Dienstag - Love Me Till Tuesday" is a real rarity only available here.

I appreciate the first comment (really). I will look into the contents of this post. I received it from a source that is usually very strict regarding its codes for official. It is very clear that the label is not "official".
Has this been out of print for a long time? Maybe that explains how I got it...
Also, donations accepted - but this isn't my job and if this is official it will be taken down + I hardly "make money" doing this unless you've sent me some recently (?)

Some of the content has been officially released a long time after this bootleg.
There are some very interesting versions on this bootleg. The french version of Heroes is really hard to find these days. (As is the german version.)
I would keep it here as long as you don't get an official letter to take it down. I think no one will accuse you to earn any money from this.
Thanks for the Bowie posting. Any possibilty of the legendary album "Toy" showing up?
Hi Dave, hope you don't mind me throwing in my two pennyworth here. I think you have a genuine conundrum here.
There doesn't appear to be an official album with both the Christiane and Baal soundtracks on it complete with the other recordings so I'd say that this was definitely a pirate copy as per your first posters comment (FYI see here http://www.illustrated-db-discography.nl/Pirate2b.htm).
IMHO virtually all the tracks are available on either official albums or various single releases. I believe that tracks 1-9 are on the Christiane F album (officially re-issued in 2001 EMI 5330932) and 13 to 17 are on the Baal 12" disc (RCA PG 45092 Germany 1982). I actually have the French version of Heroes on an RCA 45 (and I prefer the German version!).
Anyway, whilst I've been researching all this I've downloaded it in the meantime in case it vanishes again so THANK YOU!!! :-)

While I can understand the qualms about the Chistiane F album (that's still in print) I don't share the same concerns on the Baal EP, which was originally issued in vynil and never released on cd format since then. As the record company seems not to give a damn about the magnificent Baal tracks I would without hesitation favour its release through any form. Therefore if you could post the Baal tracks I would pretty much support you.
According to Wikipedia:
""The Drowned Girl" was featured on the 2005 triple CD set "The Platinum Collection" and then the 2007 re-release of its third CD under the title "The Best of 1980/1987". "The Drowned Girl" and Baal's Hymn are both included on "Sound & Vision" (4 CD Collection). The EP was re-released as a digital download in 2007."
I've checked and it's available on iTunes.
I didn't know Baal was on iTunes now. I think I'll still wait though as it'll be in lossy quality. I respect Bowie's music way too much to put up with anything less than lossless when listening to him. With this release, now pulled, I was finally able to upgrade my taped copy of the vinyl. Even though only up for a short time, thank you, Dave, for helping to complete the collection of my very favorite single artist. I'm glad I didn't wait to download this.
