The Great Gig On The Moon - 1972, Sapporo,Japan (FLAC)
Ripped from the original "silver" recorded CD, using EAC (log attached), and encoded to .shn files.
OU: It is an audience recording and is therefore not as good quality as (say) the BBC Session recordings. However, it is one of the best audience recordings I have heard.
I only have the cover artwork (attached), but I am sure there is plenty more to be found on the Web. A quick search revealed a very comprehensive site review of this production. Please visit the following: http://www.pf-roio.de/roio/roio-cd/great_gig_moon.cd.html

Thanks for the quick posting of the "guaranteed lossless" version, Dave. Things like this is what makes your blog so good.
Thanks for all the floyd!Flac or shn? It says flac once, shn twice.
Yes, the other version was vg.
But 1972 is 1972, what a tour !
Greater than great, this vg+ !
Thank you.
For Anonymous, shn becomes flac at the end, so it is basically the same.
about lossless format I agree with Mouldysauerkraut, all my records are converted fo flac (more user friendly).
Aw, a big thanks to Dave, great post and greater blog!!!
shn
You posted a version of this long ago that said in a text file "Note the date is wrong on the art. This show was actually performed on 1972-03-13, not 1972-03-12"(it doesn't explain how that determination is made). The link in today's post, which seems to be a description of what is on the art, indicates the 12th. Any consensus on what is correct?(I'm assuming it is the 13th).
This database says the 13th:
