Several torrent websites have now banned this release because a DMCA take-down notice has been issued by IFPI UK...
...just a heads up.
hello dave.
thank you so much for making this unknown recording available.
amazing work!
My cat will love this, Thanks!
I appreciate that you have made this available to a wider audience. But, I am puzzled by the "take-down" notice. This show has been available for many, many years on vinyl.
Maybe the known lineage is a problem? Maybe someone just woke up on the wrong side of the bed?
It's all madness.
Wow! Absolutely amazing to get this in such good quality. Wish it was in true stereo, but that's ok. At least the full concert is here. Thank you so very much!
this is NOT the recording that has been available on vinyl / cd bootleg for years. It is the same date, but this is a soundboard recording and is the full show. The audience recording is missing the encore and possibly another song.
LOL at anonymous's comment about "my cat will love this" LOL
BTw.. anyone wondering about the date, it is April 10th, not October 4th.. wish we could all adopt the same date format :)
Absolutely incredible sound quality, thanks so much for sharing this. now if only Granada Tv / Kate could get it together to release the film / video... if we all hold hands and say it together, maybe it will make it happen.. :)
Thank you so much for this Dave I'm a huge Kate Bush fan and to have a complete soundboard recording from her one and only tour will be a wonderful addition to the collection. I have a number of audience recordings from this tour including one from Manchester Apollo, but obviously this will be much better sounding.
I'm confused by the take down notice for this though as this has never been officially released to my knowledge, because I would have purchased this years ago for my collection had it been made available as an official release. The only live recordings officially available that I know of from this tour are "Live At Hammersmith Odeon" on DVD and CD as well as a 4 track EP. Those official releases aren't even complete. Is it because it was from a broadcast? I still don't get it if it was never officially released and the audio was taken from someone's VHS copy. There are plenty of unofficial TV rips from a number of artists floating around out there. I could see the fuss over this if it was available officially for purchase, but it isn't.
Anyway thank you again for this Dave I just hope I have enough time to grab the links before this is pulled as I've hopped on here rather late in the day. Thanks again...YOU ROCK!!!
I have a soundboard recording of the Hammersmith show from 79 and offered my recordings to many a site without revealing that info, never heard back from a single person.
Now the Manchester is out the London show is less interesting now.
Also have the Hammersmith show with Gabriel and Harley.
All shows from Kate's one and only tour are interesting, especially soundboards.
Thanks Dave! Some day, maybe we'll have the entire '79 tour. I have around 5-6 so far...
Tony
