1970-09-10 - Kasteel Groenevelt, Baarn, Netherlands
VPRO radio session - Radio Program: Piknik
From 1971 rebroadcast: off-air reel source with splices from an alternate source to eliminate diginoise in a few spots.
Total time: 31:26
1- Thank You 5:45
2- > M'Lady 4:46
3- Sing a Simple Song 5:33
4- Stand! 5:23
5- > Dance To The Music 4:55
6- > Music Lover 1:44
7- I Want to Take You Higher [reprise] [cut] 3:16
The show has also been normalized which improved it all a lot to my ears (listen on headphones if you have any doubts). No lineage info on the alternate source but it's from the shorter rebroadcast and is low gen. I've seen this listed as 9-2-70, so 9-10-70 might have been the original broadcast date with the info I had being for the recording date.
Here is the description from the previous upload: This isn't sourced from the 2CD "Thesaurus of Funkasaurus" bootleg. Instead its a superior source. Lineage: 1971 VPRO FM broadcast>Revox Reel2Reel-deck>WAV>FLAC Pristine Stereo Soundboard
The sound on this transfer is much more lively and its also (more) complete compared to what can be found on boots. A Lossy version of this can be found on the VPRO site, from a 2003 re-broadcast
Upgrade in sound quality compared to other copies of this traded.

Thanks for the Sly Stone, Dave! I quite like the very unusual front cover featured in your rar :)
Dave Thanks for everything but stop waisting your time uploading files to MU. The FBI shut them down completely yesterday for good. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but we've got to stop our crooked govt. from passing SOPA before its too late.
thank you! a little funk is nice
Thank you for this live. Same list of songs than the album. Good to listen to.
I saw some tit attacked by Lt Ron Hover, as Zappa called the industrial vacuum cleaner of 200 Motels. The lady looks like Pamela Zarubica from the GTO's. I'm not sure that she is related to Sly and the Family Stone. She took care of Zappa's children, but I don't think this "family" had any children. And Zappa did interviews for the VRPO.
