from 'Ten Imaginary Years':
On 5 July, they played a festival in Werchter, by the sea, in Belgium.
Robert: "We'd only been on for about a half an hour and everything was running late so Robert Palmer's road crew started motioning to us to stop.
This bloke ran on and said 'If you don't stop playing, we're gonna pull the plug'.
Simon immediately walked to the mic and shouted 'F-ck Robert Palmer! F-ck rock'n'roll!' and we started playing a really slow version of 'A Forest' which lasted about 15 minutes.
It was f-cking brilliant. Unfortunately, when we finished, they threw all our stuff off the back of the stage ..."
Note: Simon shouted 'F-ck Robert Palmer! F-ck rock'n'roll!' after they played 'A Forest' not before!
Thank you to lepep, who sent the source flac files to me. I've removed the incomplete A Forest and edited in the complete song to form a complete show. The source and mix were the same, so this edit is not detectable. Recording volume of show raised slightly.

Thank you Dave. This is a band I never thought I'd listen to, even if I lost all my music and someone gave this stuff to me. Then I listened to a Cure cd... and I kinda liked it.....

Thanks from me too! I love The Cure, especially early recordings, this vintage and earlier.
All Punky & Gothy! Good performance and recording! Thanks!
