Mega-rare Restored LP "Cadence And Cascade" - READ NOTES
This is a Japanese LP.
It's very, very rare.
It's very, very expensive to buy.
It's very, very bad quality.
You may listen to it, you may just file it away. There are some redeeming moments in the recording, but not many. Just what were they thinking over there in Japan when they made this stuff into an LP?
There is one track I actually can't identify. Perhaps it's also very rare, it wasn't listed on the cover.
Setlist (run time about 56m33s):
Pictures Of A City
ITCOTCK
The Letters
Cadence And Cascade
???
Ladies Of The Road
Band Introductions
21st Century Schizoid Man
The Devil's Triangle (end cut)
Lineage: LP ->speed correction on the turntable ->Sound Forge ->click and crackle removal tool ->FLAC via TLH, level 6, sectors aligned and verified, FLAC integrity checked
Enjoy!

They didn't tour in 1970, so this must come from '71?
As always, Friday is a good day at QB!
Keep posting them.
A+
Wow, Doinker wasn't kidding!
This is truly atrocious sounding, has to be one of the worst vinyl bootlegs ever pressed. Completely unlistenable! Thank You Dave! ;)
Has anybody the cover artwork please??
Thanks! The unknown song is a reworking of "Get Thy Bearings," which is a Donovon song they did early on.
This is actually a pretty rare show (the date is Sheffield 1971.05.29). It is only one of two recordings that feature this lineup performing "Court of the Crimson King" and "Get Thy Bearings." There is a CD version out there with the full set.
Hi Dave,
can you please post the artwork please ?
Thanks for doing here an amazing job!
Oh, and as always ... Thanks to QB for providing us with these excellent (and sometimes not-so-excellent) recordings!
Not for me (quality-not wise)
but great art as usual!
Flex that Artistic brush,Dave!

I remember listening to Islands and Lizard and other stuff from that period, when I was in high school. They expanded my sense of what music could be. Listening to this boot has expanded my understanding of how poor the quality of a recording can actually be and still have me listening to it. ;)
Thank you for this.
I no longer fear the lollipops, because I have constructed a bunker where I now live. They cannot see me here. I can relax inside my bunker and crank the "Cadence & Cascade" super loud, and the lollipops will never have a clue.
Thanks for this Dave, but the sound quality...well unfortunately it isn't there. However fans of the Cring know that there are a number of really great sounding shows available from the 1971 era. They are official releases but well worth purchasing. I would recommend the show from a few nights before recorded at Plymouth Guildhall on 05/11/1971. Anyway, as always more Cring is always a welcome addition to the collection...thanks again for all that you do!!!
Cring Kimson was, is, will be, an amazing band! Probably the best of all (with Pink Floyd, of course) in the 70s.
Fan of the Island band should consider buying April 12, 1971 Zoom Club on the band official web site.
Ahhh yes the Zoom Club performance from this era available officially is an excellent choice for purchase another excellent one is the gig at Summit Studios in Denver on 3-12-1972 its towards the end of the tour with this lineup and things were getting a little crazy personally within the band, but its a very powerful performance nevertheless. This was a short lived lineup of Cring but a great one!
The poor quality of this made me seek out and buy the Hide Park and Fill More East official issues from Cring.
Dave - you have have done your service.
D2 in Denver.
Has anybody the cover artwork please?
Thank You.
Yes the sound is bad but there is so little out there from this line up.
I hope they release more on the official site in the future from this time frame.
Found some artwork for a different version of this show:

There's a good bit available from the official site from this time frame considering this lineup didn't last very long. I counted 9 on CD and 21 available as downloads. Some of the CD material is currently sold out but I'm sure they will eventually restock. The other nice thing about the official site is the downloads are available in flac format for not that much more money.
