OU: (Vinyl Rip) Not a stellar recording, but certainly listenable. More importantly, a rare early live recording by The Church on their first tour of the US. I ripped it from a vinyl bootleg. I did some manual removal of some pops and clicks in Logic Express, but didn't tamper with anything else. Someone with a better ear than mine could probably coax a better sound out of this - feel free!
The spine of LP sleeve reads:
THE CHURCH JONESCO C-11,200
1) Fly
2) One Day
3) Electric Lash
4) Tear It All Away
5) Constant In Opal
6) Volumes
7) Bel Air
8) You Took
9) 10,000 Miles
10) Life Speeds Up
11) A Month Of Sundays
12) Almost With You
13) Shadow Cabinet
14) The Unguarded Moment
15) When You Were Mine
Original source unknown -> Vinyl bootleg -> Denon DP23-F -> Logic Express 8 (24/44.1) -> manual removal of some pops and clicks with pencil tool, slight limiting in order to boost overall signal -> (dithering) AIFF (16.44.1) -> xACT -> FLAC

Holy gods, Dave! There are so FEW Church shows out there. Thanks for finding this! Any chances of more? Rumor has it there's a killer show from California in like '88 or '89? Be GREAT if you could post that!
Thanks for all your hard work!!!
Been after this in lossless for years, so thanks A LOT! Contrary to the last comment, there are actually hundreds of Church tapes out there, but they've never circulated much outside of a small clique of hardcore fans. This is a situation which really needs to be remedied ASAP!
Yikes! My college band opened for these guys in 1984. Night have been the same tour. Weird...
That should have been "Might have been the same tour." Turns out that it was. The show we played with these guys was just a few weeks before this on November 3rd. This should be an interesting listen.
Despite the rating here (VG-), this is VERY listenable. The slight vinyl noise actually gives a sense of the time rather than being an annoyance. Gets a little rough during the louder sections. Just very happy to have this! Especially "You Took"!
Thanks QB!
Two stellar Church shows I can recommend: The June 9, 1988 show from The Ritz in NYC, which was FM simulcast and the April 25, 1991 show from Melbourne, Australia.
