OU Notes:
Excellent. Brilliant. Amazing. Fabulous. Incredible.
Finally, long time hided AtWaS Live video footage appeared on our planet. If you like old Rush, YOU MUST WATCH THIS ONE.
This is short, but complete concert document shot by the venue with multi cameras. Although the picture is b/w and pretty dark, captured really exciting performance by
young boys. We could see Bastille Day, Lakeside Park and very early version of 2112 (without almost all of Discovery and entire Oracle). What a beautiful experience...

Released in Feb. 4, 2005 in Japan, from Japanese bootlegger Dust'n'Dreams who run "Langley", "Ayanami", "Masterport", "Reel Masters", "Power Gate" etc. etc.
This one released under the label name "Power Gate" like "Feedback at Wembley" and "Feedback at Manchester".
This bootlegger have read a Japanese article about Rush ROIO that written by me on Japanese bootleg mag and they know what item is rare or not. So all the release is not pirate of fan-made items. That's the good point. Of course, except for the matter selling bootlegs...
According to the info from bootlegger, there are logos on the video and have to shade them for hiding where the source come from ("MB-48" for the center logo ?). It's very annoying thing but if there're no shading, yet it also would be annoy... The picture itself is pretty clear and almost no noises and seems really close to the master I guess. The sound is also fine. Almost no hiss and sharp soundboard recording. Even better than recently released audio boot "Out of Hiding". Overall excellent quality copy for age.
The date have told as Dec. 10, 1976 but there is no confirmation and also another opinion, Mar. 1977 is present. Due to the short setlist, it is very hard to
detarmine the date only from the performance but anyways, this IS from AtWaS tour. The oldest complete concert video for Rush.
Oh well, have to mention about bonus material as well. This DVD contains famous 8mm footages that labeled from CoS/2112 tour Rochester, NY. You can see CoS logo on
bass drum head or stage back so definitely this was taken from that era but not yet confirmed. Also this film is very partial recording and originally silent, so bootlegger dubbed Nov. 15, 1975 Rockford show (maybe from "Stainless Steel" boot). Of course completely out of sync. But the video quality is far better than the ones that previously circulated. Very colourful and clear. Seems better 8mm to Video conversion was done. Excellent as well.
Anyways, MUST HAVE.

Will the re-up be split the exact same way so that one could only download the remaining parts that are needed?

Very neat video, even if it is black and white...the performances are very good as is the sound. The annoying shaded out logo is puzzling, but you get used to it after awhile. Recommended and thanks Dave!!!

I believe the second show here, if in Rochester, NY in 1976, was the first rock concert I ever attended. It was held at the Dome Arena in Henrietta, NY, and the line-up was Blue Oyster Cult (headlining), Rush and Angel.
