Anonymous said...: Do you perchance have the 2006 XM broadcast by Alan Parsons? I have only half of it, and it is phenomenal. It was broadcast in quad as I recall, as an audio experiment, and the sound quality is like nothing I've heard. Astounding. Would really like to hear the rest, but cannot find it anywhere. I would think that if a show were an FM broadcast, a recording's source might either be from on-air broadcast, or from a distributed CD or vinyl LP or reel tape or whatever, but "pre-FM" doesn't seem to identify that actual source.; July 24, 2008 at 1:46 PM
Anonymous said...: Re: Pre-FM -- my understanding is that it's from the pre-broadcast source, be it an LP/CD/Tape, whatever, but whatever source the FM stations would have used to broadcast from, and much superior to something taped from a live broadcast.
