As with most bootlegs the CD information can be misleading with mispellings, and other duff info etc. Sometimes tracks can be from different gigs, so you never know. Regardless of the aforementioned, this is a great recording of a great Faces performance.
Supposedly recorded in 1973.
Live concert recording in what sounds to be a small theatre.
My guess is that this is one their BBC "In Concert" appearances. If so, then probably taken from a BBC Transcription vinyl that were used in those days.(You can hear the odd quiet crackle) - but you can't be sure.
Seven Faces tracks and 6 Rod Stewart solo efforts.

Thanks as always for the great post.
After checking dbetree, I would say this is certainly from the first half of 73, with the set list matching perfectly to a show listed as April 1,73. Paris Theater, London. (actually Paris Cinema Theater,if I recall correct).
Anumber of BBC shows were recorded there, so 2.0's theory seems a good one.
Much love for all the great lossless posts.
I checked the show of April 1, 1973, and it's a quite different one..
Check this one out..

My copy is called "Honky Tonk Men" and states "American Tour '73". It also has "Time Blue". The important thing is that it's a fantastic show.
Thanks for giving the option of using megaupload.
Thanks for a great blog.
great post! and thanks for the megaupload option!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I recorded this off the radio (WNEW-FM, New York) in 1973 onto... 8-track tape! The tape is long gone, and I never thought I'd hear this show again, although I've kept looking.
These takes are *so* much better than similar live tracks on the Faces box set I'm amazed that these weren't used.
Wow - what a band! You really made my day. :-)

Upon further listening, I think that this is a combination of parts of two shows.
The first four tracks seem to have a bit of a different mix than the rest - Woody's guitar sounds "hotter". Also, Rod says "good night" after "Stay With Me".
In any case, great stuff!

Had to drop in to leave a comment... I'm listening to this right now for the first time; and WOW!! If you're a fan of early Rod, then this is a must have! They are just ripping through his goodies- Ron and the band are on and Rod is in a good mood!
I also wanted to take the time to thank you for all of the time you have put into this site(blog)... I'm sure you would call it a labor of love, but this takes a lot of time to do! Thanks- many people are jammin' harder and longer b/c of you!!!
