Because of the static setlists and lack of identifying comments by Phil it is nearly impossible to identify the exact dates of these board tapes with any certainty. The recorder was unable to start recording until the UFO sound tech would leave the board area. This one is the most complete only missing the first 30 seconds or so of Natural Thing.

Pink Floyd: Original Film Sessions The Wall 1980 (FLAC)

considered a top 10 bootleg of all time.
film_session_front_150
film_session_back_150
January 01, 1980
Early Audio Pre-release Soundboard Mix for the Official Movie
Maxell XLII 100 ??Gen Cassette Masters -> NEC AUK-8000E Deck -> Total Recorder 4.5 -> SB Live 24Bit -> Wav -> Cool Edit Pro 2.0 -> Flac Front End (level 5) -> Flac

Notes from Marooned: I got this in trade with a fellow subscriber of the old Brain Damage Magazine back in 1995. This has a completely different sound then what you are used to. There are some different lyrics and you can hear instruments and sounds in this mix used throughout the recording that were buried in the official release. This is a true gem.
Two songs at the end of CD 2 are filler songs that came on the tape. The first two songs are from an unknown live Roger Waters concert. What I find interesting is that WYWH is a very quiet relaxed version without drums for the most part of the first half of the song. Nice version. Following is Brain Damage/Eclipse from the same live unknown concert date. A VERY bluesy version of Eclipse in which Roger actually asks the audience to sign along during the middle of the song. It then turns into more of a Hard Rock song in the end. Easily my favorite version of the song.

Disc 1
01. Little Boy Santa Claus Forgot
02. In The Flesh?
03. The Thin Ice
04. Another Brick In The Wall pt 1
05. When The Tigers Broke Free
06. Goodbye Blue Sky
07. The Happiest Days Of Our Lives/ Another Brick In The Wall pt 2
08. Mother
09. Empty Spaces
10. Young Lust
11. One Of My Turns
12. Don't Leave Me Now
13. Another Brick In The Wall pt 3
14. Goodbye Cruel World
15. Is There Anybody Out There?

Disc 2
01. Nobody Home
02. Vera
03. Bring The Boys Back Home
04. Comfortably Numb
05. In the Flesh
06. Run Like Hell
07. Waiting For The Worms
08. The Trial
09. Outside The Wall

Fillers
10. Waters - Wish You Were Here
11. Waters - Brain Damage/ Eclipse

Pink Floyd: Pigs Might Fly? 1977 (shn)

4. Pigs On The Wing (Pt. 2)

5. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts VI-X)
6. Money
7. Us and Them

Notes: This is a quite decent audience recording. It's loud and it's distant, but it gives you a good perspective of what the audience was like. Of course the fireworks start with Pigs on the Wing Part 1. Roger blows it during PoTW2 by singing the wrong verse. Ever the graceful maestro he picks up and continues on from the beginning. David and Snowy never miss a beat. What is it about that song that gets people so rowdy? After all it is a love song... The audience goes nuts towards the end of Money and you can barely make out a note for the next few minutes. Before Us and Them Roger quips "For those of you that didn't bring your fireworks, thank you for coming". You can hear the sarcasm in his voice. What happened on the 6th was almost inevitable at this point.

This is another version of the "Lloyd Noble Arena, Norman, Oklahoma, 07/21/1983" show + some great fillers! This is a more complete version as well, this one also includes "Jonathan Cain On Keyboards". So, what do we find in here? This 2-disc set contains all songs played during the 1983 "Frontiers" tour (at least all the songs I know were played), in excellent quality!
It also contains 3 amazing extra tracks, which is taken from the "Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, California, June 26 1982" concert.

Excellent Clarity.

Disc One:
1. Atom Heart Mother
2. Tuning
3. Set the Controls For the Heart Of The Sun
4. One of These Days
5. Careful with that Axe, Eugene

Disc Two:
1. Echoes
2. A Saucerful of Secrets (encore)

This is one of the must-have dates from the 1972 tour and the very best available from this performance (IMO). The band puts in great performances of their older, post-Syd and pre-DSotM classics. In fact, I really don't recall any other 1972 dates when Eclipse was not performed. It seems the band played a single set, with Saucerful of Secrets as the sole encore.
Sadly, there is a poorly edited cut towards the end of CWtAE. This is either due to a tape flip or was done to fit the music on the album side.

26: In Blue Hawaii (with mono sections)
27: Good Vibrations (stereo - original lyrics)

Brian Wilson's 2004 arrangement of SMiLE as performed by the Beach Boys back in the day. In glorious STEREO, just like it says on the cover. We decided to do it the way we imagined which necessitated edits, manipulation, speed tempo and pitch correction, etc. Despite killing all the sacred cows it sounds mighty fine to us.
seeder's note: There have been many, many other attempts at reconstructing SMiLE. This one is by far the best I've heard. It all flows together beautifully, the arrangements and cuts are probably as good as we're going to get. Also, unlike any other version, it's almost completely in stereo. I think only "On A Holiday" is mostly mono, by necessity. Good Vibrations really packs a punch.
So if you're downloaded other versions, you might want to take a chance on this one also.

Live 1975-xx-xx
Unknown venue, unknown city
The KBFH announcer states in the intro that it is a 1975 Yes performance, but unfortunately does not provide the specific day & month, nor does he mention the venue/city. Perhaps some Yes experts out there can shed light on the true date of this performance.
As is common with the KBFH silver CDs, you will hear the announcer briefly before each song "...and now back to Yes..." etc.
This extract was taken from the actual silver CD sent to a radio station to broadcast the show. It even came with a KBFH program sheet.
Unfortunately I have no artwork for this one...

While this is sourced from a pre-FM reel, it may not sound as crisp as one would hope. This is indeed a good sounding recording with an exceptional stereo image, but please don't expect a "commercially produced" quality from this tape. There are a few "age spots" as one would expect in a tape of this age. That being said, it still rocks and it's much better to have it than not. Please enjoy LOUD & pass it on...

GRAND ILLUSION TOUR 1977
VENUE UNKNOWN (Chicago?)
RADIO SPECIAL 51 MINUTES
master reel > Soundforge > wave > flac

This radio concert aired in 1977 and was sent to stations on reel to reel tape. I used a reel from a radio station into Soundforge to edit and create the wav files which I then converted to FLAC using FLACfrontend. There was little editing
needed, and there were no production changes to this amazing sounding show. This was when the band was hot hot hot! I would love to have the entire show including Crystal Ball and Man In The Wilderness, but it has never surfaced in this format!

Boston: Cleveland, Ohio 1976 (Pre-FM CD Source) FLAC

if you are a Boston fan - GRAB THIS BOOT!

1976-09-27
Venue: Agora Ballroom
Source: Pre-FM (Recorded and broadcast by WMMS)
Lineage: Original, silver CD bootleg on the SuperSonic Lable (99003 SS) ---> EAC ---> WAV ---> FLAC (Level 8)
Band Members:
Lead Vocals & Guitars - Brad Delp
Guitars & Organ - Tom Sholtz
Guitars - Barry Goudreau
Bass & Background Vocals - Fran Sheehan
Drums & Background Vocals - Sib Hashian

Ripped from the original silver CD pressing. The SuperSonic bootleg label put out a gem of a product with this show. Not only is the sound quality out of this world, but the artwork is stunning as well.
The performance itself is truly remarkable. It was recorded only a few weeks into the tour for the debut album and shows a band giving their absolute all. Brad Delp sounds great! Sholtz and Goudreau trade leads frequently and the fireworks they create are spectacular. Bass player Sheehan and drummer Hashian, hold down the grooves well throughout and contribute serviceable background vocals as well.
Considering Sholtz played almost everything on the studio record himself and Delp did lead and background vocals, the parts are covered very well by the live band.
Though, the background vocals can't match 4 or 5 overdubbed Delps. Highlights include a very early version of "A Man I'll Never Be", (which would later appear on the Don't Look Back album) and a blistering version of "Foreplay/Long Time" as well as a few gems that never made it on their studio albums.
All in all a show that no Boston fan should be without!

Pink Floyd: Falkoner Teatret Copenhagen, Denmark 1971 (FLAC)

falkoner_teatret front cover scan

Vol I & II
Life Line - LL CD 9102 & 9103
*Many believe this recording to be from Sept 23rd 1971 at KB Hallen Copenhagen Denmark, not the 25th as labeled on the CD. An old concert list by Vernon Fitch from the Pink Floyd Archives does show performances at Falkoner Teatret 23, 24, 25 - however, the current one online only shows a 9/23 at KB Hallen.
The recording quality is generally very good. Instruments and vocals are very clear and their is little in the way of hiss.

Volume I
1) Careful with that Axe Eugene [15:59]
2) Fat Old Sun [12:57]
3) Set the Controls [9:01]
4) Cymbaline [6:34]
5) Cymblaine, continued [5:18]
Note, Atom Heart Mother is listed on CD cover as track 5, but it is not included on the discs.

Volume II
1) Echoes [24:03]
2) Saucerful [8:32]
3) Saucerful, continued [8:03]
4) Blues [6:56]
Note, Blues is listed as being split into two tracks on the CD, but it is SOS that is split, not blues.
All songs have "gaps" between them except for Disc 1 tracks 4-5 and Disc 2 tracks 2-3.
Disc 1, track 1; almost 5 minutes passes before music begins.
