Notes: Here are more extensive notes on the mastering of base recording by RockHopper62:
Recorded on an UHER CR124 Portable / Sennheiser MKE 2002 ("in-ear dummyhead" vndensor microphones / AGFA CR90 tape. Replayed in Dec 2008 on a Nakamichi 680 deck, digitized using M-Audio Transit USB @ 88,2 kHz, 24 bit. Acoustica 4.1 (acondigital.com) used for recording, raw track cutting, linear volume editing, some glitch-removal (aka drop-out-interpolation) and (very subtle) de-hissing.
Field Notes by RockHopper62: I've been only a few feet from the stage, in the midst of a crowd of enthusiastic GIs, standing upright without ever moving for almost 90 minutes (I still wonder what they where thinking which stuff I had dropped in) with an early version of the now so popular in-ear-type microphones

The next day I saw my first Soft Machine show in Koblenz (Germany). I'd die for a recording of that concert...
can't make a promise but I can give a look...
Keeping my fingers crossed...
Thanks Dave, the performance is fantastic especially Peaches En Regalia.
I wish there was a live performance of Willie The Pimp with or wthout Captain Beefheart.
