fake-rapidshare-premium-login
Good Morning Friends,
I am back from my little jaunt to California.

I just wanted to let you know that I have read your comments in some of the posts regarding rapidshare files being unavailable.
Here's is where the problem lies: I have a number of rs accounts. I use Rapiduploader to upload my accounts and apparently filled one account to overcapacity and the program was "forced" to upload the files but could not upload them to my premium account. Basically, the files just went into cyberspace and I have no means of retrieving them.

I am working on reupping ALL of those files and I will roll them over to the front page once they are done. I have also been able to recover a large portion of a HD that went bad so I will be working on some reups as well.

All in all, hang in there - there will (no doubt) be a few more problems in the next few days as I try to stay ahead on my blog, but I will correct these as well.

Thanks for the support and encouragements. Take care and enjoy the music.
Dave

Richard Bennett : guitars
Geraint Watkins : piano, accordion
Guy Fletcher : keyboards and backing vocals
Mike Henderson : guitars, harmonica, mandolin

Geetarz Comments: A stunning soundboard / IEM and a personal "Top 10" favorite show.
Special guests Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt sit in, unfortunately only for a few numbers and even more unfortunately not at the same time!
Jackson Browne is pretty amazingly out of key - this isn't a criticism of his abilities but instead a reflection certainly of the dangers of sitting in with a band.
In this era of static set lists and overrehearsed, underperformed music, it's nice to see real musicians who are not afraid to walk out on stage and hang it out over the edge in front of a live audience.
Bonnie Raitt joins the band to sing and play on "Prairie Wedding" and does a fantastic job, so much so that MK says "stick around, Bonnie" and then launches into "Pyroman", where she contributes some wicked slide work.
This is also one of the finest lineups of musicians I've ever heard. As always, play it loud ... and enjoy! ~G

Bob Marley: Survival Rehearsal and The Wounded Lion Session 1979 (FLAC)

batw-wls-1-front2
1979-XX-XX
cd>eac>flac
The Survival rehearsals tape was recorded in Kingston in 1979

the setlist of that tape is:
01-could you be loved false start , and take 1 8:16
02-survival (cut) -> zimbabwe 15:41
03-ride natty ride (incomplete ?) 8:14
04-revolution *see notes 5:37

Additional information: not very good sound, voice is clear anyways
*revolution is a filler on that tape and is part of the uprising rehearsal
very great tape
ya can heard bob saying "cool style, cool style" during could you be loved

+++
title: the Wounded Lion Session 1979
Source: SBD > ? > Cx > ? > FLAC
Length: 46:40m

01-wounded lion in the jungle [22:05]
02-you talk too much [ 3:55]
03-babylon system [ 5:40]
04-babylon system(with false starts) (cut) [15:00]

OU notes: here the comments about it from ras rojah (roger steffens): It's a great tape. The "wounded lion" clearly refers to his on-going struggle (two years old at least in '79) against the melanoma cancer that would eventually take his life in May of 1981. it also seems to refer to his ongoing struggle against Babylonian forces, urging "revolution now for sure."
that tape is probably part of the 1979 survival session despite the fact that the original cd was a bitch to rip, enjoy it
music is a passion not a competition
This is part 2 of the Survival set seeded to EZT in September 2004. The sound quality is a bit better with these tracks, and the performance is amazingly delicate yet soulful, that experience you always wish to be around, you know, Bob and friends jamming. Bless those along the way, including Ras Rojah and the Family for securing these precious moments into history.

flaws:
Some hiss and a little hum.
t2 - You Talk Too Much @ 1:51m - R channel D.O. for 1s.
t4 - Babylon System @ 2:28m - subsecond D.O.

credits: to the people and organic fruit.

Pink Floyd: Work In Paris - Rev.A 1970 (Broadcast) FLAC

Pink Floyd - Work In Paris - Rev A - front
Paris, Theatre des Champs Elysees, 23Jan70
Comments: This Rev.A was produced in March 2001, using the Cochon Production
2CD version "Live In Paris - Theatre des Champs-Elysees": http://cochonproduction.free.fr/pages/paris_23_01_1970.html
The purpose was to have the concert on 1 CDR, combining the different sources.
Mastering: JME
Editing: MOB
Sources:
- original RTL AM radio broadcast, 1970
- Europe 1 radio AM broadcast, 01May82
- Europe 1 radio FM broadcast, "Discorama", 30Apr95
All tracks are taken from the original 1970 broadcast, except:
The Violent Sequence (track 3):
This track is taken from the 1995 broadcast.
The Amazing Pudding (track 5):
This track is mainly taken from the 1995 broadcast. However, since the drum solo was edited out on the rebroadcast, the missing portion has been reinserted from the original broadcast.
Work (track 7):
The version broadcast in 1970 was edited. Fortunately, the missing portion appeared during the 1982 broadcast. This track is now around 4 minutes long, combining the 1982 broadcast (for the first part) and the 1970 broadcast (for the last part).
Interview (track 11):
This French interview of David Gilmour and Nick Mason is taken from the 1982 broadcast.

Comments from pf-db.com:
Audience recording.
Sounds like it have been mastered from vinyl, but the sound is very good; especially CD3.
The cover claims that this is a recording from Nassau in April 1980.
First, the shows at Nassau was performed 24-28 February.
Second, the announcer says "Welcome to Earls Court" and one can hear people with British accent talk in the audience.
Empty Spaces is misplaced in the track list.
This is a recording of the last show on “The Wall” concert tour. It is also the last Pink Floyd concert with Roger Waters (except Live8). Refered to as the last "real" Pink Floyd concert by some.
This is a piece of rock history and highly recommended for Pink Floyd collectors.

Thanks to Peter Braverman for his fine work.
From the Braverman text file and prior to Bertha Remastering:
Source: SBD>16 Track Master Reels>DAT@44.1K>DAT>DAT>WAV>SHN
DAT>WAV via Sony SDT-9000 DDS drive using VDAT 0.6f (see error logs below)
WAV was edited in Soundforge 4.0 (crossfading of reel cuts between songs, no music was disturbed except for Sugar Magnolia)
WAV>SHN via CDWAV 1.53>MKW 0.97b
The songs from the reels were originally edited down to DAT very tightly, almost no banter is present in this version.

Known Flaws: the first few notes of Sugar Magnolia were missing and were patched in from the circulating Gans CD source.
The following spots were edited using pencil tool in Soundforge
(small bits of analog static removed):
d1t1, 2:18 - left channel click - smoothed, still slightly audible
d1t1, 2:20-2:23 - left channel static - smoothed, still slightly
audible
d1t06, 2:12 - pop - fixed

d2t05, 3:37 - right channel click - fixed
d2t05, 4:13 right channel click - fixed
d2t05, 04:18 - right channel static - smoothed, still audible
d2t05, 04:45 - right channel static - fixed
d2t05, 04:00-05:00 - some other static, smoothed, but still audible
d2t05, 5:05 - right channel click- still slightly audible
d3t01, 0:28 - two right channel clicks - fixed
d3t01, 0:38 - right channel click - fixed
d3t01, 8:06, 8:11 - right channel crackles - fixed
d3t01, 26:29 - right channel click - fixed
There are a few other minor analog anomalies that were left alone:
d1t01, 2:02 click in right channel
d1t01, 2:26 slight pop
d1t07, 3:48 click
d2t01, 6:00 faint click
d2t04, 10:12 pop
d2t05, 3:36 click
d2t05, 3:42 click
d3t01, 28:24 click
d3t04, 5:10-7:50 intermittent analog buzzing in right channel

Elvis: Return Of A Prodigy 1969 (Soundboard) FLAC

1
From the producers of “Plugged In & Geared Up” comes a fully remastered and editted Las Vegas show from 1969 entitled "Elvis - Return Of A Prodigy". It contains the August 3, 1969 Dinner Show, straight from the original ‘69 reference mix. The CD will be released this August on the Gravel Road Import label. The show was originally released by the Fort Baxter import label in 1993 as “Opening Night”
From the press-release:
Facts:
- The earliest known soundboard of 1969 to date;
- Newly discovered ‘69 audio;
- The differences between the later released shows of end August 1969 will strike you.

“Elvis - The Return Of A Prodigy”, will be released by Gravel Road Music in August!
This is the August 3, 1969 Dinner Show, straight from the original ‘69 reference mix. It is completely remastered and edited. This is the earliest soundboard to date of Elvis first Las Vegas engagement in 1969. It’s also only the sixth live performance he gave, the music is very different from the late August released live performances. This is to date the closest you can get to the opening show of July 31st, 1969
The liner notes are a review of somebody who actually was there, it will give you a very lively idea how it looked. The more than 50 photos of the same show (many in color) included will help you even more to imagine the first few shows of 1969.
As an bonus we included some interviews prior to the opening show and original radio spots of 1969.
We hope at Gravel Road Music that you all are just as excited as we are about this release cause it’s a historical soundboard recording, placed in the right perspective.
Note:
The show itself was released by Fort Baxter in 1993 as “Opening Night” no edits were made at the time and an effect was placed on the audio to cover up the tape noise. Now it is upfront clear and very lively as a wild 69 show should be. For the ones who have “Opening night” or the copy from this show, this release will appear as if you hear it for the first time.

Pete Townshend: London 1974 (VG++ Aud) FLAC

Pete Townshend 1974-04-14 - Roundhouse, London - Front Cover
14th April 1974

London
Source: Unknown Audience
Lineage: ??? > EAC (Secure) [No Log, Sorry] > WAV > FLAC Frontend (Level 5) > FLAC
Sound Quality: Very Good/Excellent Audience Recording.

Track Listing:
01 The Seeker
02 Big Boss Man
03 Substitute
04 Amoreuse
05 If I Were A Carpenter
06 Happy Jack
07 Tattoo
08 Join My Gang
09 Behind Blue Eyes

15 Let's See Action
16 Pinball Wizard
17 See Me Feel Me
18 My Generation I
19 Magic Bus
20 My Generation II

Frequency Analysis: This recording is consistant with a full 44.1khz Frequency Analysis.
OU Notes: The two versions of My Generation are demos, played through the P.A. for the audience. There's a simple lyric change in Magic Bus: "...I'm so nervous I guess it shows. Don't say a thing about my great big nose..."
Dave Marsh wrote about Pete's first solo-concert: "On April 14, 1974 (Easter Sunday), Townshend played a solo gig-the first of his career, for the Camden Square Community Play Centre ... Meant to be a quiet afternoon's entertainment, the solo show was blown out of all proportion when the press got word of it. Townshend spent a panicky week's preparation, then came out and did a fairly casual show using electric and acoustic guitars, piano, some synthesizer tapes and the original "MY GENERATION" demo as he ran through a set that also included 'The Seeker', Jimmy
Reed's 'Big Boss Man', 'Substitute' and 'Pinball Wizard'. Despite a drunken heckler, the show was well-received and Pete was surprisingly confident." (Dave Marsh, Before I Get Old - The Story of The Who, page 442).
Enjoy!

Audience

Live at Academy of Music, New York, May 4, 1974. Very good audience recording.
What can you say about this performance that has not already been said on so many past occasions? The last-but-one night of Genesis' spring 1974 US tour remains one of the most personable performances the band ever gave, with even the group's traditional bugbear of technical failures elevated to the ranks of bold humor. Gabriel is in excellent form, both vocally (his performance through "Firth Of Fifth" is nothing short of revelatory) and in the storytelling department. Even the most time-honored tales are pocked with ad-libs, including crediting Henry, hero of "The Musical Box," for "the first recorded streak in world history"; and the insistence that Phil Collins was taught to play drums by a Russian spastic. There, and we thought it was just his vocal coach.
The sound quality is very good throughout.
"Watcher Of The Skies" opens before before diving headlong into Selling England By The Pound (1973) for the four songs that really were that album's live highlights: "Dancing With The Moonlit Knight," "I Know What I Like," "Firth Of Fifth" and "Cinema Show." Onto disc two, "Musical Box" (complete with unexpected funk intro!) is followed by a magnificent "Horizons," a clapalong rendition of "Battle of Epping Forest," and "Supper's Ready," itself prefaced by Gabriel's demand to know whether or not the audience is fond of lettuce. Of such things, of course, classic concerts are made and this one truly is a jewel. - Dave Thompson
"This audience recording is absolutely superb. Clear open detailed sound, with good dynamics and very little hiss or distortion. Given this quality of sound, the matter of it being a mono recording becomes irrelevant.
"An awesome performance, a wonderful venue, and a beautiful recording. This was one of the very last times they played many of the classic 'Selling England' songs, and the last known recording of 'Supper's Ready'."

Thoughts from a friend to whom I sent advance copies:
Chinese Democracy World Tour and Tokyo Dome being the same show (12-19), I will compare. The first one is of slightly better quality throughout. It is an outstanding audience recording and really well done all the way through. The second one is also very good but maybe not quite as high of quality as the first BUT the in-ear monitor is very cool. You get to hear the roadies talking to Axl about the guitars and stuff going on. I don't remember hearing anything quite like it before. It is also cool when Axl is yelling at the house crew and knowing exactly what is going on.
He seems to be a generally crabby individual. Ha, ha.
Democracy At Osaka (12-16)is the third one you sent me links to. That show, although pretty much the same, is a different type of show. It is much tighter and maybe more "professional" than the other date. Excellent quality also.

ProjeKct #09 Notes: Why a new version of the November 16, 1974 Pink Floyd concert at the Empire Pool, Wembley?
Despite the fact that a great number of different audio sources exist for this concert, none of them seems to be as good as required.
Although the 'PreFM Master' source is, to my knowledge, the best one available, it suffers from various audio flaws like:
- presence of noise (hiss and clicks) and saturation,
- wrong speed,
- signal drop-out and stereo image losses,
- ‘parasite’ signal on ‘On The Run’ (end) and ‘Time’ (beginning),
- wrong equalisation and dynamics of the audio signal.
The restored version proposed here, mainly based on the 'PreFM Master' source, is an attempt to correct, as far as possible, these different flaws.
First, all the kind of noises have been removed and a correction of the speed, based on the BBC6 2003 broadcast, has been applied.
Then, most of the signal drop-out and saturation have been attenuated.
Concerning the so-called ‘parasite’ audio source (that you can still hear at 04:08 from the beginning of ‘On The Run’) this one has eventually been masked by the add of the clock 'tick-tock' that is listenable on the BBC6 2003 broadcast previously mentioned.
The crowd noise has been added at the beginning of the show by reference to what you can ear on the ‘Completely Brain Damaged Vol.3’ bootleg.
During the making off this project, another source containing a very good audio quality of ‘Echoes’ emerged from sharing communities, I decided to include this number in this project. Although a doubt remains concerning the origin of this source (mp3 sourced?), I chose to preserve this piece because of the historical nature of the performance (sax and female voices).
Finally, an equalisation and a modification of the dynamics were applied to the whole of the project in order to obtain a good final mix. The best efforts were produced in order to obtain similar sounds for ‘DSotM’ and 'Echoes'.
Because of the lack of source of equivalent audio quality for the other played titles on this day ('Shine On You Crazy Diamond', 'Raving and Drooling' and 'You've Gotta Be Crazy'), these ones were not included in this project. If someone could provide a very good recording of these titles I would be delighted to provide an add-on for the TSPDP09.
Although this anniversary edition is not totally flawless (is an official release will surface some day?), I hope that you will enjoy this new remastered version of this Pink Floyd performance.

As you can see this version has a little crowd noise added in addition to the other corrections. I personally like the recently posted Harvested version better but since there was a repost request...here it is!
