Buzzy Feiten is a great blues guitarist. He ranks with Eric Clapton and Mike Bloomfield.
Howard "Buzzy" Feiten was born in Long Island in about 1951. Right after graduating from High School, he joined the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1969 after Elvin Bishop left.
He was one of the youngest lead guitarists in the United States at that point. While playing for the PBBB, he met Phil Wilson and "Brother" Gene Dinwiddie, who played drums and sax respectively. A relatively unknown bass player also sat in named Freddie Beckmeyer.
Buzzy left the PBBB and played lead guitar for Stevie Wonder for two albums in 1970-1. Buzzy quit in the middle of the tour and hooked up with Gene Dinwiddie, Phil Wilson, and Freddie Beckmeyer to form a blues/jazz/rock fusion group. For keyboards, they tagged Neil Larsen from Tampa, Floria. According to myth, he lived on "Midnight Pass" Street in Tampa. A song on this concert bears that name. Full Moon was born.
Full Moon had only a single album in 1972, but had a cult following.
This concert is in Toronto Canada in 1972. I know little of the lineage. It is a stereo soundboard recording.
If you are even remotely curious about the band, check out the Track No. 5, which is an instrumental version of BB King's "The Thrill is Gone". I personally believe this is one of the greatest guitar solos ever. The cassette tape was digitally converted a few years ago.
You can buy their 1972 CD of their studio work as a Japanese import only.

thanks; learned of this on Totall Fuzzy. coincidentally, I've been looking for the studio v. of this, since someone posted a Neil Larsen LP on another forum, and then he also upped the 1982 Full Moon studio lp for me (tho' it's half shlocky 80s vocals):

What a treat! I'm working on a podcast about the Woodstock NY music scene in the 1970s & I came across your site in the course of my research.
I lived in Woodstock at that time & heard Full Moon at the legendary Cafe Espresso on Tinker Street. I didn't know that any live recordings of the band were extant.
A couple of years ago I spoke with Neil Larson (who incidentally is currently on tour with Leonard Cohen) about this project. He acknowledged that the Full Moon album has long been a fan favorite & pointed me to the 2000 Japanese reissue on CD, a welcome replacement for my decades-old vinyl!
Keep an eye out for the Woodstock podcast, coming soon to my blog.
