Thanks for you contributions, plenty of great stuff, couple of comments:
1
Recently when I click on the ad I always get a dead link
2
Excuse my ignorance but why are there so many download links for this one?, judging by the times given 30 odd links are far too many even in FLAC.
Thanks again

Hi Dave (2.0),

What exactly contains the subfolder
"Moon & Star 24-192 capture". The 8 Tracks in this subfolder are very "heavy", say the track
24-192G - The Foreigner Suite.flac
takes 788,5 Mo !!! whereas the track
Moon & Star - 10 - The Foreigner Suite
takes only 122,6 Mo.
Where does this difference comes from between these two versions (bit sampling maybe ?)?
There is no explanation on the tracks included in this subfolder. Thanks in advance if you can give us some light on this.
It is definitively a great performance and Foreigner Suite is what I consider as the best composition of Cat Stevens so far.
Thanks again for this great post.

(the later links are explained below:)

Quotes from the seeder:

"The main folder is 16-bit/44.1 KHz (no SBE's) flac, ready to burn to a CD. The sub folder with all the tracks prefixed by 24-192 are the unedited, unmodified raw transfer. They came off the Tascam as 24-bit 192 KHz broadcast wav format"

"I've included the unedited 24-bit 192 KHz files from the transfer, in case someone wants to remaster this, or just wants the best possible audio."

so basically the first few links are the new CD-ready remastered versions, while the later links are the raw unedited versions

Thanks so much for this; downloaded it last night and probably won't get to hear much of it until Saturday. Your comments were very interesting. I also taped the show on a reel-to-reel tape and was surprised to hear how good it came out. I hated the hiss on the CD version and eventually went back to my tapes to create a decent listening. I have two Linda Rohnstadt songs, by the way. Let me know if interested at gringo557@yahoo.com.

GREAT POST!!! Thanks again!

Nice to see my tape getting around! Yes, the big files are 24-bit 192 KHz, the smaller ones 'regular' CD-ready flacs. Enjoy!

Just a note.

If all you want is the 16bit files, download parts 1-4.

You will get all ten 16bit signature verified tracks. (plus a large chunk or track one in 24bit). I tried parts 1-3 only and it breaks track 10 so you need parts 1-4.

I might download the 24bit for archiving but just so you know, the first 4 are all you need to start listening :)

What a shame! I got here too late - I would have LOVED the original Tascam files and would have loved to have done some re-mixing for complimentary purposes and/or rejoining files with applause intact. Still, I'm very happy that you posted the concert - and Foreigner Suite IS just as you say (though I like the studio version as well - for different reason). I also think that Morning Has Broken is even more moving in this live version.
Hey, I think the WHOLE concert is excellent!!!
Thanks for uploading it :)
